I am confused. Where am I? Am I on the SL Forums still? No, it's the Twilight Zone, but they just forgot to tell you. _____________________

Hasn't it been said that forum and inworld penalties were tied, so a forum permanent banning with a hardware block should mean permanent hardware ban on access to SL and closure of the accounts associated with the hardware, instead of two week suspension?

So it's been said........me thinks they aren't willing to take that step for whatever reason. As for the banning, if that linked post was THE reason for the banning I still don't get it. I've seen Mulch do much worse.......I don't imagine I'm helping much eh? ![]() _____________________

Out of all the outlandish, mean spirited, rebuse of alts etc etc I have seen on this forum I can not believe that post thread was a permaban offense.
Anyone who follows Mulch's posts would recognize that post to be tongue in cheek. I saw it as a commentary about the AR system and the way it is going. Mulch if you can read this thanks for all the laughs over the days. I can think of people far more deserving of a ban then you. Of course it would likely mean losing 15 posters in one shot if they took some of them. Anyway.. good luck at SC. For the record this does not seem fair. _____________________

Prok didnt get a permaban in world. For consistency they would hopefuly not do that to Mulch. _____________________

Mulch is crass and vulgar but a good guy. But as a certain someone stated elsewhere, banning him from the forum is like throwing him into the brig of the Titanic.
Pointless. ![]() _____________________

Prok didn't get a permaban in world. For consistency they would hopefully not do that to Mulch. Prokofy got banned from the forum shortly before LL stated the policy that forum and inworld disciplinary actions were linked. For consistency they would adhere to the policy they stated shortly after Prokofy's forum banning, which was and is that forum and inworld punishment are tied together: suspended from forum = suspended from virtual world, banned from forum = banned from virtual world. Consistency is not necessarily one of the company's strong points. _____________________

Consistency is not necessarily one of the company's strong points. Agreed. But I shake my head in disbelief at the move to permaban over this one statement. To permaban him from in world for it would be WAY overkill. Before anyone says anything about past experiences, etc with Mulch here let me remind you that this banning was evidently based solely on the one post. _____________________

It seems rather absurd that they would permaban Mulch over something like this. What in the name of god has gotten into the resmods? So someone pointed flaws in the AR system and made commentary on it. I saw several posts in that thread that were FAR more inflaming than that.
![]() Unless someone's willing to give me better tangible information to make me think otherwise, I'm throwing my cards in with Mulch. _____________________

Before anyone says anything about past experiences, etc with Mulch here let me remind you that this banning was evidently based solely on the one post. It's not over one statement. They keep records of every abuse report and bad post report and the disciplinary action taken in response. This is not the first offense, and there are prior offenses for multiple accounts used by the same person, including the use of an alternate account to evade the consequences of disciplinary action on another account. It's in response to a long and quite deliberate pattern of abuse of a resource Linden Lab makes available for discussion and education of Second Life, not for use as a free for all chat room. Come to think of it, there is a procedure that is said to occur for permanent bannings, which is a two week suspension and a review by users, which is consistent with the alleged disciplinary notice posted in a third party forum. _____________________
