From: DolphPun Somme At first I was annoyed by the anal-retentive (is that hyphenated?) english nazis nit-picking the spirit of my question over incorrect phrasing... So because you didn't communicate your intent successfully, we are the no-life anal-retentive English nazis? Pardon me for mistaking you for someone who was actually looking for discussion instead of unquestioning validation. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

From: DolphPun Somme At first I was annoyed by the anal-retentive (is that hyphenated?) english nazis nit-picking the spirit of my question over incorrect phrasing... This phrasing was too strong. I am sorry. It still expresses how I felt, but name calling and personal digs are never cool. Before I start another thread, I will be careful to spell out in no uncertian terms what I am after so there are no mistranslations. One if the nice benefits to my inept phrasing was the history of some of these groups. Please continue. Its wonderful! Also,as some of the groups mentioned above, more clarification? I am guessing some of them were just jokes.

@Dolphun
Most of the groups you listed look correct.
To answer some of your ??
Unseelie The multitude of faerie folk are divided into two "sides" the Seelie and the Unseelie. A simplistic way to distinguish them is flavor. Unseelie are the darker brooding types who are often associated with evil things. This description of mine is not wholly accurate but will give you a gist.
Driders Humans altered into half-human half-spider. Like Centaurs with spider bodies.
Grammar Nazis I do not believe they are a group to themselves. Just individuals for whom bad grammar grates. Though the term Nazi is generally frowned upon, it's very often attached to people who serve as moderators or instructors who are perceived to be oppressive or unduly restrictive even if the moderation was completely appropriate. We have List Nazis (list moderators who are strict) and Forum Nazis (... strict). Thank goodness that in all my years of very strict moderation of mailing lists and fora, no one has called me a nazi yet.
Oooh ... geek ... me count as geek.

Drider = drow-sp ider. It's not half human, it's half-elf.

So thank you. Made it to 2 pages even! Please continue! Or, it could be that you communicated the spirit of your message so poorly that it becomes hard to do anything else.

From: Reitsuki Kojima Drider = drow-spider. It's not half human, it's half-elf. Sorry, been out of touch from D&D that much. It's been I think 17 years or more since I saw the monster entry for the Drider. (sideways thinking) so a Spanish Drider would be a Spider.

From: Rafael Lamar it's not even D&D.. it's Forgotten Realms. The Realms is a D&D world. Though the Drider dates back before the Realms hit print, it was in the 1st edition.

Dang all these (well most anyway) groups have been around for so long ( I am not out of my 20's yet) but sheese, I have not heard of 90% of them. Gorean...where was I? NEVER heard of it till I logged into SL. Same with BDSM, tho from the movie *9 to 5* with Jane Fonda in it did show the lead guy all tied up in leather straps at one point..does that count as BDSM? (I mean I do know what it stands for now..someone in SL explained it nicely). REally, most of these groups are unknown to me...Furries? AND I have read lots of SciFI books still never came across them. Only time I heard of D&D (dungeons and dragons) was when I perused some PC games in Best Buy store. Maybe its time for me to go back to school All this means that I can not be the only person out here in RL that has not heard of most of these groups so....where in the heck do you guys hang out that you all seem to know about them lol...lol. Ahh I have one though that is so cool...the Dark Hunters from the Carpathian Mountains found only in romance novels. Extremely cool guys. BTW real life does not create such men so dont go looking for them gals.
