First of all, note it's "Bot", not "bought". Clearly he and his friend use automation technology to "bot", or have their characters controlled when they are not present.

Second, it's "doller" not "dollar". From Wikipedia, a "doller" is "a cosplayer who performs a variant of kigurumi cosplay."

So, what he is really saying is he and his friend have automated 1000 free accounts using anime avatars, which I think is a pretty worthwhile accomplishment and serves only to prove the value of free accounts to the greater community.

I have no problems with free account holders. I was one myself, when I first joined. I upgraded for a number of reasons not relevant to this discussion. The main reason was that my vgf and I wanted to own some land and build.

Since I've only been an SLer for about a week and a half, I haven't really seen too many people causing trouble. Do freebers cause more crap than preemers? Surely there's a report on this somewhere...

Basically, I think on average, you're going to see a similar percentage of jerks and troublemakers in both groups of subscribers.

As for WHY people become troublemakers in an online community, the fine fellows over at Penny Arcade summed it up nicely.
