Well, I used to be a premium member until I downgraded. My position is either I need an entire sim or I don't really need any land. As far as the difference in behavior between the two types of users, I have yet to notice one. Of corse if I need to 0wn alot of landz, then i mite ti3r back up. lol but y all teh h8? kthxbai lol!1

The entertainment value per dollar spent is so easy when a person is desperate for money and willing to sell their dignity for a three pennies and some pocket lint. _____________________

There is nothing wrong (with either the poster or the account - you decide what they meant). Why ruin everyone's fun? I think Linden Lab's best move was to create free accounts in SL. Why don't you quit if you don't like having more people able to play. Second Life will make more money with free accounts. My friend and I purchased over $L 1,000, which means that "they" (whoever they are) are making money off people with free accounts so calm down. _____________________

As a free account holder, I can explain why I haven't upgraded yet. And it isn't because I'm unwilling to spend actual money.
Say I wish to spend $10 a month. I have 2 primary routes. LindEx - For $10, I get close to 3,000 L$, in addition to the $200 I get a month Premium - For $10, I naturally earn 2,000 L$ (an improvement of L$1,800) and have land ownership privileges. (as well as the ability to start a group as an officer?) Now, since I'm not yet interested in land ownership, this privilege has no value to me. In addition, I am certain I could rent some space from someone who does have land. In addition, I am in enough groups that I can live without that as well. So for me, it comes down to being able to buy 3,000 L$, or earning an extra 1,800 L$. (Oh, and not everybody on a basic account is cheap or idiots, and only a very small minority are griefers looking for jollies.) |
