Robin,
I think the reference is to the LL pictures. Aimee is legendary because she supposedly has three pictures on the site. We have all found two. But the last picture of aimee remains the forums current holy grail. So the picture in question is a picture of Aimee.

From: someone Blaze, you haven't been singled out.
Riiiiiiight. And why then did I receive a formal warning for "hijacking"? I mean really, give me a break. If you can find me ONE! thread which hasn't been hijacked by someone, I might not feel singled out, but every single thread ever posted in these forums has been hijacked by someone. And yet, I am recieving a formal warning? For what? Admitting to something that everyone else just does and then goes "who? me?" What a joke.

Cristiano, I see your point but it strikes me as a little strange for you to start this thread since when Major drama strikes, and the discussion can't be continued in SL forums it has several times moved to sluniverse. However, after all the heated conversatiions, things seem to often get settled or to end there.

From: someone There is no picture at the end of the registration pages, other than the pictures we've used to make the pages more interesting. Since at this point you would not have created an avatar, we wouldn't have a picture available to use Yes, the picture is on the new accounts registration page. There are pictures on each of the steps to make the steps interesting. The final steps has Aimee, unmistakeably, with signature eyeclasses, hair, wings, gear, etc. Try this link? https://secondlife.com/join/index.php/Create-Account/4ff5927b380bf5cd300001efd38acede

I made a shammy! ZOMG someone should nerf them! <3 Here's a few tips: 1. You are not a tank. 2. Use shock when your casters are getting hurt, stay near the back with them as a second-line of defense. 3. You are the "handy-man" of offense and defense. You hurt the bad guys; you HEAL the good guys. 4. Never put down a magma until your war has aggro. Wait 10-20 seconds. 5. Less mana spent using earthbind rather than frostshock. Unless it's on an alliance rogue. 6. Crit lightening bolts on all dragons. 7. Totem your crew with agil, wind, and str. 8. Always heal your warrior. See #1.

Oh..a nice pic too! In all seriousness though..if LL wants to entice more users, and make lots of money..they need to feature me in every pic on all pages. And to entice more customers from Montana and other less populated states..they should feature me and sheep. Seriously.... -Pushing the bounds of sarcasm and dry, near-incomprehensible humor, since 1960

If LL wants to use Aimee's avatar as a graphic on that page, I don't have problem with that. I'd be just as happy with them showing a picture of one of evan's or lucah's really cute furry av's. Showing a stylish, non-generic avatar examples on that page adds some color and gets people excited with what they can do, and are about to try. The fact that Aimee also happens to be incredibly friendly and welcoming to new people, and an enormously talented example of an SL citizen is great. They have to pick somebody, and that person might as well be both nice and talented. LL is going to use certain people's activities to promote themselves. They would be dumb not to. I'm not willing to handcuff their marketing activities simply to say "if you won't advertise ME, you won't advertise ANYBODY!" personally, I doubt it affects aimee's sales much. Newbies aren't going to see some avatar they've never met and think -- "MUST SHOP AT PREEN" -- in their best zombie imitation.

What's so bad about necroposting?
If viewed as a result of reflection and review it doesn't seem like a bad thing. Many "issues" are discussed and addressed in the heat of the moment and are accompanied by the admonition to give it time. After an interval of time has passed, if a thread is started on the issue, new people who comment are invalidated because of their lack of awareness of the history. How are they supposed to use search to find discussions they aren't aware of? Only someone who was there or part of the original can direct them to it. Having to repost thoughts on a situation seems inefficient, yet those that have developed a differing opinion over time can post to that end.

I feel like I'm watching some cheesy sit-com where they're going back thru "Memories Past" clips because the actors are all on Vacation.

You're just cranky cause you didn't go out of town for the holiday weekend and it's frickin freezing here. Being too windy to have the big balloons in the parade will put anyone in a nasty mood. I wanted to see Chilly Willy make another break for Canada, myself.

There is nothing at all wrong with responding to an old post. Posts that haven't been archived are available for response. The objections to replies to dormant threads are always made by people who have an objection to some aspect of the thread's content, not to its age, who want to suppress the discussion because they see that suppression as best serving their interests with the least effort on their part.

Funnily enough, I haven't seen anyone say that necroposting was "bad". I guess pre-emptive defense is a good thing. Works for GW right?

I hate y'all cause I started reading this thread from the beginning, thinking I missed all this crazy drama, and OMG pandastrong's back posting, and yadda yadda yadda until I looked at the dates of the posts and realized I'm not that bright. Necroposting - f*ck with Cory Edo's mind! Or what's left of it! Fun for the whole family!
