That's sweet of you to say. I will say that I used to have a lot more in common with the likes of Prokofy than I'd normally care to admit. Thankfully, I grew out of it and learned a better way to communicate, but I was not always so restrained.

Actually, I think I've grown much more, even, since I met Mistress. Take from that what you will.

It's true. I would just refuse anyway, of course, but Mistress ... while capable of extraordinary restraint, is a glacier that conceals a volcano ... and extremely possessive.

Like you, I grew out of it and am happier for it. Isn't it interesting how all that crap they used to tell us about wisdom coming with age (that used to annoy the hell out of us) was actually true?

I had to learn some of my lessons the hard way. The very hard way. I think maybe that's why I flinch when I see a bunch of people on a forum beating verbally on one person -- because I've been that person.

But looking back now, I know that I brought it all on myself, and I know what was wrong with my thinking that led to it.

God, you're right. When they kept telling us we'd thinking differently after we had a chance to grow up, they were right.

Look, people, there's speaking out and then there's insane rambling. I assure you, the latter brings nothing positive to our world, or any other world where beings can conceptualize the idea of communication. When these people, psycho-babblers if you will, say what they are thinking, everyone that hears/reads it gets smacked in the face with a WTF Hammer of Degrading Humanity. It's these people who think that what they are saying ISN'T dumb, insane, painfully hypocritical, ironic, or cancerous that makes me wish no one had the right to speak.

Actually, I think the tournaments are what inspired me to pay any attention to swords at all, and from there to get into making them finally. All because Ammon talked me into participating in one of his tournaments long ago ...
