Update: Power Failure, Second Life Offline
As of 10:50 PST, we are still recovering from a large power failure at our colocation facility. We are bringing machines online, and company folks are able to log into the grid. We do not yet have an ETA for all logins to begin working again. We'll get you more updates as soon as we can.

I have before, and all the sim servers I've tracerouted have been <sim>.lindenlab.com, which is hosted by pnap.net (InterNAP).

Yet another Update this time by Robin Linden

Update: Grid is Recovering
The servers are slowly coming back up and we're testing as we go. It looks like it will be another hour or so before we're open. As soon as I have a firm ETA I'll let you know.

Where are you getting 9 hours from?
I was reading from this announcement which is still timestampped 0442 UTC-5 (EST). I've seen that the forums timestamps are acting wonky today, so what time did the power fail? Doc's post I quoted above appears to be timed 1841 UTC which would make the failure roughly 1630 UTC or 0830 Linden Time. Sorry that I drew a false conclusion.

I'm so confused. :confused:
