Nuts. I actually was going to try to get some work done...even though I was told I should go take a nap.

Well. I guess I'll go take that nap now...

The power failed at the colocation facility and everything needs to be restarted. We have someone there so we're working on getting it restored.

I dunno but if it isn't the power failing near our city then its the power in california.
I was in the middle of a big script that I can't remember how I made. Cause im weird like that.
I wonder if this will effect our inventory too.
Hope they at least have surge protectors on the asset servers.
Battery backup would be nice too. :p

I can't remember where in the forums I read it but I think I remember something saying it takes 1.5-2 hours to do a complete from cold restart of all the SL systems.

If someone can provide the link or accurate numbers I would appreciate it

Wails

Gnashes teeth

bashes chest

Petutlantly cries "I want my game back!"

Was logged in while it happened and I was typing. Watched my ave do the typing anim for 5 mins before I realised there might just be a problem.....

:-)

Gotta hope they've got a good UPS at the server farm or could be done for a while!

My first forum posting after 2 weeks of reading.

I'll quietly go back to lurking now :-)

Hmmm, well I'm good for 1.5 hours without mains here, I wonder why a colocation centre hasn't got UPS or even... a redundant backup power system?

Anyway, not to worry, I checked the home page about an hour after the grid fell over, and there were still 2565 users online...

*cough*
