In rl I'm a single mom and a student, don't have much money as it is, I play sl cause right now I can't do much in rl. There are people paying over a hundred a week to be number 1 in the classifieds, I can't afford to post my park or my store in the classifieds, I'm paying over a 100 a month for my avie and land fee's and now I'm suppose to pay even more to post in classifieds which gets me absolutely no business at all, I could see if it was a reasonable rate. Why can't they have events calendar for people who are having games and contest and another events calendar for people who are having sales and want people to know about it. With out the sale of my clothes I can't afford to even play sl. So this not posting events is causing people like me who don't have much money in rl to not be able to enjoy the game fully. I just can't afford to be here, and its no fun if I can't create and sale things with out being charged my life savings.

Got to your local newspaper and tell them you want a full page ad for the same price as the little half inch one.

Creating and selling in SL is a lot easier than in RL. At least in SL you don't have manufacturing costs, warehouse costs, etc..

The few costs we DO have are legitimate; vendor, storefront and advertising costs. Maybe some consulting costs for script-writing, etc..

If your sales can't justify the cost of doing business then maybe you need products that more people will pay higher prices for.

This isn't quite the same: newspapers have a limited number of full-page ads. SL Classifieds has no limit on the number of overpaid entries.
