Have you checked Ping Sim rate via Statistics bar?

I've seen all of the bugs referred to in posts on this thread over the past..um...8 weeks or so.

Lil does appear to be disseminating info to us here in the fora, for which I am very grateful.

I hope Babbabge's team get a grip with this script-time issue soon , because it is a real nightmare when the sim you're on either slows (bearable but unpleasant) or grinds to a halt (unbearable).

It's clear to me that there is something fundamental wrong with the whole of SL (be it the servers themselves, the base code or what I really don't know).

Please sort this out before the residents upsticks and move to another system altogether; because once they're gone, they're gone for good and SL will die.

I see far less traffic now than I saw even 3 months ago - and that was a fraction of what I used to see. It is not JUST the global downturn - SL is shaky and folk just don't want to be bothered anymore. SL businesses are folding left right and centre, some established ones too. This cannot be allowed to continue - I know you are trying, LL - TRY HARDER!

There is a problem with delivering online IM's too. Messages get stuck in never never land, showing up sometimes weeks later, sometimes it will randomly think you are offline and send to email even when you are online. I'm sure this has been reported. The problem seems to be that all forms of communication are quite unreliable. Makes it hard to market SL to enterprise customers like this.

Kudos to support for fixing the problem in Ddalgi.

I put a ticket in and it was addressed and fixed (probably a region restart) within an hour.

I would also like to thank Lil for keeping us apprised of goings on in these fora.

My Christmas wish is that when the time comes for this forum to come under the hammer it is decided to keep the active fora, archive the dormant ones and update the forum software.

This is a *way* better medium for both resident-resident 'chatter' traffic and quick fire service announcements and feedback like this.

The forum format is lean and effective, the blogs groan under the weight of Web2.0reah.

It's still there, but all those restarts can put a bit of a strain on things.

If you have been dumped into an infohub, try a different location at the login screen. Infohubs get hit especially hard with all the downed regions shunting avatars to them.

all is good after several hours of cache clearing and relogging,

should have left the sim, instead of logging off, so close to a restart,
which messed up inventory.

The Im delay is a serious problem and at the very least is causing tons of miscommunications and misunderstandings in-world.

LOL.. Yes.. Answered a few IMs today and got a few "huh??"s in return.

There's also numerous reports in the forums about asset-type problems. Scripts not getting saved, stuff not rezzing, etc.. I hope Lil remembers she can ask here for more details if she needs 'em!

I've suddenly started seeing "unable to create requested object" errors on a region that hasn't yet been updated. :-|

Otoh, I logged into one that has the new code, and got a rash of "unable to create object" - "attachment pending" as my attachments attempted to, well, attach.

I will say this on a positive note: TPs seem to be MUCH faster!

why is it i can log into my alt but my main avatar when i logg keeps telling me i have been logged out and i can relogin in 5minutes this has been going on for about an hour is it related to the updates?

Your "presence" is stuck in-world. Need to file a ticket to get your account reset.

What's going on, can't log in, get stuck at connecting to region, and I haven't found any information about problems like that on the Grid page...

And I have tried other regions, same problem.

on a lot of sim when you camp , when you have finish no money are credited on your account,no trace in your transaction history!!!

There have been a couple questions regarding the duration of a rolling restart.

A 50% sim roll takes about 4 hours. Since the actual sim roll starts around 7:30am, they usually finish around 12:00 noon.

I have the exact same bug on the updated Pleased sim:

The same symptoms occurred at the precedent server update, on Pleased and some other sims. The issue was fixed, according the report, restarting a dead apache server.

Could you please check it up?

1.34.0.140927 has been deployed to all sims.

I am unable to change the notecards for my rentals as they say the server is having difficulty, can't attach some huds, took 1/2 an hour for prims to appear on my body... what is going on? Nothing is on the grid status.

many parts of my inventory are missing from the database. Will we be getting them back? I really like my clothes to match.

Unable to upload anything for about an hour now and yes I've relogged several times.

Wonderful update: failed to load clothing, failed to load bodypart, failed to load ... reverting avatar to default ...

1/2 my inventory is empty ... and Grid Status page reports: all good

wonderful update folks. I have watched all those issues during the past 3 years with patience ... *self censored*


PS: it seems to affect some sims like Isle of Ectasy. A friend had the same problem and after LL restarted his sim, it works fine - a restart by the sim owner does not seem to be suffcient.

wanted to add my voice.. cleared cache 4 times.. sitting in an ocean trying to load inventory.. keep getting messages that i things are missing from database as soon as i log in.. trying to wear things results in missing from database message on almost EVERYTHING i attempt to put on..
