It's one of the great issues with a text only means of communication. Someone had to look up his profile in world to figure out he was furry, etc.

*jiggles more in response to this new light* He really had me going, I know that. With so many people that actually think that way in the world, anyone who didn't know him would've thought so and I'm glad we looked him up!

Funny thing though.. ASC had actually asked me if it was possible he was joking and I told him not by the amount of posts he had made defending those thoughts.

Good work. You really are a master. Cheers! :D

Would it not be safer to simply shut down the grid completely? This would prevent any of us poor misguided simple folk from stumbling upon something offensive on a Linden Labs owned piece of equipment. This would therefore reduce thier liability to 0%

If shutting down the grid entirely seems to be too extreme a measure, perhaps LL could simply enable a server side scripting patch that simply takes full control of our avi's, therefore restricting the possibility of any offensive action. Included in this patch, they could enable a simple script that enables every chat message and/or IM to be corrected into a LL approved comment. This would alleviate the need for 24/7 monitoring of reports of offensive behavior. This solution, if enabled correctly would very easily reduce the workload of the LL employees, as the residents of Sl would simply uninstall the program, therefore reducing lag, griefing, and the need to even report to work. Think of the instant cost-saving. This would mean the end of having to pay for high priced equipment, electricity, salaries etc....

Thank you all for your compliance.

Only for moments. And I wouldn't have doubted your irony, if it weren't for a handful of people in real life that would sincerely say what you have here in jest. (ugh)

If you were serious... I would have endorsed the safety of your computer's "off" switch. ;)

People should be shown some lewd pictures on sign-up and asked for opinion. e.g two furries going at it "Do you find this to be offensive yes/no", if you answer yes, you don't get to go to any mature sim ever. If you answer no and complain about it then you get banned from (second) life :)

Add one for gay/lesbianism, one for Gor, BSDM and then I'd think the feature would be up to spec.

Then we can flag sims as having different kinds of content and will auto-ban anyone who find that content offensive.

What they can do for existing accounts is something akin to the pasword dabacle and just make us all answer the questions on our next log in.

I think some aren't so upset they got taken, but are disappointed there is no real reason to hate the OP....all that anger wasted.

dear God no not short skirts! What is this world coming to?

What's worse is women who wear trousers! GASP! Women dressing like men! How broadly offensive! I hear that there are those who believe it is broadly offensive for women to go around in anything less than a burqa and not accompanied by a male relative in public. LL needs to crack down on such offensive behaviour!

Personally, I am deeply concerned by the wearing of leather chaps by these perverse riding groups who mount horses and stage parades, simply to have an excuse to wear their alternate-lifestyle attire in public...down with horses, riding clubs and western wear...and while we are at it, if you roleplay the American Wild West, you better find a new place to hang your ten-gallon pervy-hats, podnah, because you are next!

I find all you humans offensive! You smell, you mutilate, you kill each other, and you hunt for sport! Disguesting!

"disguesting" = throwing the visitors out of your parcel. ;)

But I agree. All that fecundity and offal and the consequences of poorly cooked ethnic food, it's amazing anyone puts up with being human as long as they do.

I don't own a parcel to throw people out of, but you'd better believe I would!
Well, ok, I kinda do belong to a group that owns land, not sure how much power *I* have, but I know Crawler would let me do it if I asked and he did recently put up access controls for his parcel (he owns the sim) as too many people were coming by the cave.

You know I was just poking at dis-guesting vs. dis-gusting. ;)
