Working with weaponstesting sandbox

I have the street adress for 4 of the 'lindens'...who wants to get in their faces?
As well, I have a handy little box that can tell you what Lindens are on, IM me in world to get a copy.

Just because an area is a weapons sandbox, I don't think it should mean people shouldn't show restraint, and civility, and give other people some room.
There's testing things on willing people, and then there's shooting and knocking them around because you can, or dumping spam objects all around them and interrupting their building or their testing. *shrugs* To me, it sounds more like it's being used as a grief object testing area than as a weapons testing area.

The fact that you cannot enter this sim without being noise spammed, the fact that you can walk around 3 meters in 10 seconds in often HUGE lag spikes. The fact that this sim goes down an average of 5-6 times a day

i have my draw distance set to 64 so the lag isnt as bad but they are actually all over the place

As someone who's interested in crafting weaponry in SL, this thread is incredibly disheartening. It was begun MONTHS ago, and has received countless bumps to the top of the forum list ever since.
If this is any indication of how responsive LL has become to serious griefing problems, then that's a pretty sad state of affairs.
I'd enjoy a sandbox to test weapons, watch and learn from others, and ask questions. But, for now, I'm staying as far away from the place as possible.
Good luck to all you weapons-testers, I hope LL will be a bit more active in their pursuit and punishment of the people that are screwing up your SL.

Just a side note, to people who read this thread and scoff saying 'it's weapons testing, who cares, let it be a dump, weapons are a creation of the devil anyways', i'd like to see you last 5 seconds in WT. All you people who sit on piles of cash with land that they own griefer free just have no idea how bad SL can really be. There are at least 4 other sites who have pages and forum sections DEDICATED to griefing in SL and laughing about it. Some of us aren't as gifted as you to come from a rich family and can afford to spend boatloads of cash on a Pentium 4 server you will NEVER see in person. So stop acting high and mighty, get off your rich asses, and maybe try to understand where the rest of us are coming from.

I've always liked the weapons sandbox, it was the best place to just work on general scripts(if you're going to use a sandbox).

Seems kind of threatening. While I get a kick out of "minor" griefing in Second Life (generally teasing people, or fighting with weapons against someone equally armed, or attacking n00b avatars that are clearly alts) I do not advocate real life violence. It's all a game, hey? Let's not let it get to serious eh?

Also id like to say that I was actually able to TP into the sandbox this evening, yep, that is a first in about 3-4 months (thats litterally not a joke).

WT has been down for a few days. I'm not going to complain because perhaps it means something is being done to the server, and a new island has appeared to the east. However the problems haven't been any better.

I didn't get images, but a few days ago someone dropped in 1200+ "Floating Fish8!"'s. Each one has a listen, and a 96M sensor in it, and keeps a few lists. The TD for the sim was down to about .2 - .4 for almost 4 hours until all the fish were cleared out. That was the day after around 800 screaming boxes were dropped in.

To get a real good idea, visit any regular sandbox, and imagine that looking like heaven.
