Tombstone has an orphanage. Kid avs can roleplay as kid orphans at Tombstone (it even has a free set of orphan rags if you don't have Victorian kid clothes).

I dunno if many places allow kid avs to RP so just in case that was an interest of yor'n.

Sounds like kinda a lame skin. Get what's paid for, maybe?

There are some good kid skin sellers. I have my biases of course. :-)

Well, I figured out how to fix the head-color issue: it was in the makeup section under eyeliner or some such thing. The rest of the apparent skin-color problem was an undershirt that covered all the way to the fingertips. I actually took the av all the way down to just a smile at one point just to make sure there weren't any other hidden issues mucking up the color-scheme. Don't worry, I was in a really hidden place when I did that. :D

'Course, being a closet nudist, it didn't bother ME any... :)

As an aside, I believe HardKnock Elementary will have some registration slots coming open for new folks.

Why a dragon? Why neko? Why Barbie/Ken? Why BDSM? Why Battlestar Galactica? Elves? Mermaids? Vampires? Samurai? Why, why, why?

WHY NOT... try something new, you might actually find you enjoy it. ;)

Wait ... there's Battlestar Galactica?

Sounds cool, but is it old school or new? Because the new version sucks, sex changes and fem-bots are not my thing.

Don't go overboard on speech impediments. Words like hewwo are ok but sometimes kid speak is a little hard to understand. Also be careful with speech impediments such as pronouncing R as W and saying words like Rank. Could get you banned from a PG rated sim :)

If going into adoption try to use adoption agencies that don't have many panels. You'll get adopted faster because there's less competition. Putting your face in amongst a hundred others can mean waiting months for a match!

I'd suggest dropping into the New Babbage sims, steampunky urchins are welcome there, own a lot of plots in fact, and are always getting up to mischief. Theres a hideout in the theatre, if ya can find it... Loki Eliot is responsible for that, and goonies island. The last night at his pitch in Burning Life will stay with me for a long time.

We also welcome Kids at Armada Breakaway (Spam! :D) and as one of the rulers, kid avs are very welcome for a life of piratical steampunk fun.

on a more political note I am a 12 yr old surly, deranged sociopath in RP. i smoke, drink and think destruction is a good way to fill your time :D (Funnily enough more like me now, age 35, than the bookish shy type that i was at 12). If i played that as an adult i'd be beyond annoying, as a kid av its still annoying but forgivable. i hope.... but remember its a victorian theme RP, 12 yr old kids in the 1880s were very different creatures, most of the poor were already working and living quite grown up lives.

Sex is a massive nono, but then SL has never been about that for me. In fact i would always question the whole "Kid Av in the room! They are here for sex!" that kind of thought process worries me. Imagine "Giant metal spider Av in the room! they are here for sex!" not that i bet there isnt a sim for Chromoarachnophiles :D

Last thing. As a kid av remember the other kids have many reasons for choosing that option. I know kids who are chasing a missed childhood, coming to terms with some bad things, like the big boots, simply think its hilarious fun and just like being able to blow raspberries at grown ups and get away with it. For me it was the day i got thrashed by a gang of kids in a snowball fight. i felt like an idiot being a grown up and lumbering around. too much like RL for me :)

Tell me there is one of you adults that wouldn't like to be able to look another av in the eye (knee?) and say "ya stink and i dont like ya!" and get away with it :)

blah blah blah apologies for lenth
