Ok, let's play nice. Unless it's about tier, nude sunbathing, pie, or whip cream - I don't want to hear about it!

Cristalle, I did look myself. I went under the water and saw the stats at the bottom of the land, I just couldn't offhand remember the wording, until I saw you write the word "Protected" and then I remembere us being down there, reading it and him mentioning it to me. He looked it up afterwords, to make sure about it for me. He owns a lot of land already - and does understand quite a bit. I, know squat, and appreciate his and all of your help! There are two types of "Protected" 1) Owner is Governor Linden, and the Land Description is Protected Land 2) Owner is not Governor Linden, and that owner thinks/knows that the description might fool the unwary. (2) is not 'protected' in any way. What you described sounds possibly like mainland 512s with one boundary on a Linden Protected water sim. That sort of price would be about right-ish for that. The little islands can normally be made into one by using Terrain Edit to raise the underwater land. It's common for dealers to carve channels matching plot boundaries where the +/- 4m terraforming limit gets down to Linden water level. Be aware that if a plot is separated from the Linden Protected water by other plots, but apparently linked by such boundary channels, then those channels could disappear overnight. They are the property of A.N.Other. _____________________

They are the property of A.N.Other. Thanks Sling, this was very helpful. There are only 4 plots in the middle of the water. Nothing else around them which they ever could connect to - only each other. There is a small community across the "bay" but not walkable, you'd have to fly or take a boat. And then it's clear water, ocean across. So, theoretically, if I bought two of them, I could connect those. However, are you saying that the channel of water between mine and another, could "disappear" once another person purchases their plot, is this right? If so, I think I would take a chance. Somehow, I doubt that anyone buying the adjacent sandbar would want to attach themself to mine, would prefer to keep the illusion of it being an island. I know I would. Plus, I am considering buying the third now, so that would only leave one more anyway. Geez, I should just buy all four...hehe! _____________________

See, you are addicted and you haven't even bought your first plot yet. ![]() /me waves "Morning Elora!" I guess it can be easy to get addicted. I don't need the 4096 I have save for the prims. Anytime I think about expanding I realize any more money spent on land could better be spent on shoes. _____________________

So, I was going to donate my 512 plot to the group I belong to but, my alt's BF already bought up all the land surrounding his home in the last few days, right before I went premium, so now no need for me to do that. In the meantime, he went on a land hunt for me, unbeknownst to me. He found 4 adjacent waterfront 512 plots, really they are sand bars. They are a bit pricey, but I don't care ($9500L). I LOVE where they are. I think for certain, I'll take one of them since it will only cost me the land. But of course, now I'm thinking of two, which I swore up and down I was not going to do but I am so in love with where this is, and how peaceful and private it is. It's also apparently on land which some special restrictions, so there will never be anything horrible allowed to be built surrounding it. And, a boat can be docked there. My brain is already swirling with the possibilities. Anyway, I guess I'm looking for some wise words of wisdom. I'm thinking of linking two of the plots (he said it can be done, there is a small bit of water between each), putting a small house on one, and keeping the other as yard/garden space. More land, more prims, and it will only be the first tier of $5 a month which isn't bad. So, anything anyone wishes to tell me? Warn me about? Talk me into? Talk me out of? I'll listen to all of it ![]() Careful. This is the slippery slope to Concierge! (I know I am heading back down that road but oooh baby it feels so good I just don't CARE!) ***edit*** Buy all four. Better that than regret it when someone puts an adfarm there. |

Plus, I am considering buying the third now, so that would only leave one more anyway. Geez, I should just buy all four...hehe! I'm still not exactly sure what it is you're looking at. Four 512s surrounded by 'nothing' does not exist. There may well be (but not certain) Linden Protected water on one boundary, but the land on the other boundaries must be owned by other resident(s), and anything could happen there. If the only 'land' you see is the 4 plots, then I suspect that you are not loking at terraformable ground, but prims put out by the sealer to make little islands. In that case you can join multiple plots with new or more prims _ or leave them as a collection of islands. You should turn on Land Boundaries in View to see where the actual plot boundaries are. I suspect that you will see that they are in the centre of the 'channels'. You can try catching me in-world for a quick peep if you like. IM me. Or Private Message me here. I'm in and out during the GMT day. _____________________

Can't hurt to IM the current owner and see if he will go lower on the price. It's pretty steep in this market if you look at it per meter, even though it's waterfront. He doesn't have to know that you have fallen in love with it.

I tried going down there this morning from my work computer - which sucks big time. It's older, and apparently does not completly support SL. Could not get to the info. I'm hoping when my boss goes out later, that I can get Chris to come back with me so he can dive down and have a look. I do remember they were "PROTECTED WATER, NO FEES, NO COVENENT". Objects were included in the sale (the sandbar).

Well, since your first 512 is tier free, you can own 1536 for $8 a month, which gives you 351 prims. That should be more than sufficient for a personal playground without having to scrimp on every last prim. Of course, if the building bug bites you next, then you're toast....
I justified my jumps in tier by rationalizing that I'm already paying $70 a month for a satellite TV package that I spend maybe 1/4 of time watching than I spend in SL... _____________________

yeah i reckon if she approaches with 'what can you do for me if i take three?' she can get a discount.
i suspect i saw these plots earlier today. if so, they face a dead spot where a sim will get slotted in eventually. Can't hurt to IM the current owner and see if he will go lower on the price.
