You know ..

Americans dont eat a whole lot of lamb..

And when we do its almost always some ethnic dish from Europe or the Mid-East..

So we might not call the "scone like things" on top of a lamb dish anything ..

We shall name them doughy lumps. Or perhaps "Globsters" (Google it!! Google it now!! I promise it isn't smutty - no, seriously).

Chas seems desperate to prove that it is real and he didn't dream it. We believe you.

Hey, I know the difference between dumplings, which you do NOT place on top of a dish (as they'd taste like nothing), and scone-like thingies!

It was definitely scone-like thingies.

Chicken and Dumplings:

You DO place them on top. ;)

I've never seen it written down.

No one has ever seen it written down.

No one has ever written it down for that matter.

So this lamb scone thing you dreamed about then......

For the record though, you do place dumplings on top of a dish - dumplings tradtionally should be steamed, not baked, so they come out like a suety pastry ball, not a dry scone type thing. Then you put them on stew. Mmmmmmmmm.

If you're going to be sick, make sure it goes in Brenda's vegemite pan, not the fluffy mackerel pudding.

But this was lamb, right?

Who in the US regularly eats lamb?

Id have to go to more than one super-market to even find it.

I could get it at a Greek or Mid-East food restaurant, but Id have to go into the city to get to one of those.

No other restaurants that I go to have it.

You hear about people making a rack of lamb but those are English style recipes.
