I think I can pretty safely say that none of the ResMods want to do that either. (If it happened, you would see me disappear pretty quickly.)

The info sticky at the top of this forum has been updated thusly:

Hmm I'm not sure how well this has worked out, the resmods don't make many appearances but rants and disputes do show up from time to time.

Oh there are loads worthy of reviving, they're a right riveting read but I like this one because back in the day the rule was:

"I'm going to clarify the guidelines because the ban applies specifically to Resident Answers."

Whereas now you risk an inworld ban too, which is a bit of a shift in policy.

How long will it be before a resmod locks Siggy's thread?

They must have deleted it, since I can't find one. Siggy must be proud......griefing.... "IN ABSENTIA" :)

Please don't, I already feel old enough.

And forum offenses have resulted in in world bans in the past too.

Damn, you are a "Join Date: Feb 2005", I'm only a "Join Date: Feb 2005", but I have tried to keep my SL contributions up to your standards.

Nevertheless, I have begun to feel really, really old in SL lately. I'm wondering if it is worth continuing.

Any advice?

Ah don't worry, I appreciate that the vast majority would be bored to tears and start complaining, I enjoy reading them as I find them historically interesting, but that's just me, I won't inflict them on all :)

Calling them 'historically interesting' doesn't make me feel much younger. ;)

I know I am not as "old" as you.. but when the shiny starts to wear off of SL, I first try something new I haven't done: A building project incorporating some new technique; a landscaping project in a different type of terrain; exploring with a particular purpose in mind; a new social group; etc. If that doesn't work I take a little break where I don't log on. So far one or the other of those methods has worked for me.

Good luck. Hope to see you still around the next time some necro thread pops to the top.
