I am, relatively speaking, far more useful in SL than out.

Oh...well known too, but I'm still not very well known in either. You're a SLebrity, I think.

I know a guy who told me he was a musician and relatively well known, Whether it's true or not who knows- but seeing as how I have known him for a couple years with out this quasi celeb status I cant see it wd make a difference
- I didn't ask who he purported to be cause figured if its true its none of my business and if it isnt- who cares. _____________________

If not celebrities, there are a lot of relatives of celebrities. Just the other day I met a guy whose uncle is Robert Duvall's brother. I know this because the guy told me himself.
This prompted Qie to puzzle over the exotic kinship nomenclature that could make somebody the brother of an uncle without being an uncle himself, but decided it was just another inscrutable occidentalism. _____________________

If you want to talk a nonsense though, I am not sure Robert Duvall is the way to go...his popularity is somewhat waning. |

Most "famous" people are probably spending most of their time on things that made them famous, leaving little or no time for Second Life.
I'm much more interested in people who are otherwise ordinary, but have sortof become famous in Second Life. _____________________

One would like to admit that one is, in fact, the Queen.

lol you guys always have a funny take on these things. Yes Jacko would probably be on the teen grid wouldn't he?! I'm actually suspicious of some of you forum regulars, I bet there is a hollywood star in this group somewhere!
It does seem like celebrities are the ones with the time and money to really get into second life, and would be a nice break from being famous for a little while. By the way I'm really George Bush. |

I met an avatar (I won't tell you the name - everyone deserves anonymity if they desire it here) who claimed to be the daughter of Samantha Eggar (an oscar nominated actress) but only after significant provocation - I think I annoyed her with my ignorance! After subsequent research I discovered that (if her claim was true) she was also an actress (very attractive too, unlike ther avatar!) called Jenna Stern, whose biggest claim to fame seems to be appearing in the Sopranos. Is she famous?

It's great to be silly about the question - but its also great to be anonymous. SL offers a wonderful opportunity to just BE.

There is one British comedian who has recently claimed that he's an SL enthusiast but would never disclose his SL identity.
Another British celeb - a musician who has been in a bit fo trouble lately, has claimed he's a keen SLer, where he plays a very well-behaved, conventional character. Because these people are/were SL accounts, I haven't mentioned their names on here. I am not famous in RL If I was, I'd say so!!! _____________________

I highly doubt that a celeb would really reveal their true identity in SL as they would prbably be using it as an escape and wouldn't want to be hassled by loads of peeps. I think the only way they would really reveal themselves is if they had a really good friend on here that they trusted but if they went round telling loads of people then they probably wouldn't be the real deal, there's a lot of wannabe's in the world.
I think people should concentrate on the SL celebs instead of the rl celebs and leave them where they are in the real world, they're both worlds but completely different worlds and it's always nice to get away from the real world lol just my little penny's worth ![]() |
