When we get to Zindra, are we going to have any customers?

There wil be some sales drops, but others will gain walkby sales too, seeing a large percentage will be payment verified, there's a better chance the customers will actually spend real world cash , rather than skrimping on what they earn campping.
Also I suspect for non adult businesses remaining on the mainland could also do better in the long term as SL's porntopia iimage is swept under the rug. Encouraging more corporate and family input on the other continents resulting in a population increas, as long as the asset server can handle it, then again they might just move Zhinda to a seperate server grid one day if teleport between grids gets sorted.

Yep, and this is why I really think even mildly racy shops need to get to Zindra: they'll have a good market there (eventually), and they'll just be lost on Mature land. In addition to the "foot traffic" thing, folks will soon learn to turn off all Search options other than Adult when they're looking for edgy stuff.

Other than the obvious flaws in Zindra's infrastructure and base terraforming, I'm puzzled why some folks seem to think that Estate Adult sims will fare any better. They do have a very specialized advantage of allowing a PG region adjacent the raunchiest Adult content on the grid, so I guess if the business plan is to lure unsuspecting steampunk grandmas into becoming porn stars, that would be the place.

i was mainly asking about how many are on zindra out of curiosity but the other information was very informative as well thank you

the reason i was saying i think they will do better is mainly because a lot of the popular places that held adult content were on estates.i think a lot of estate owners are waiting until they get the word that they need to change..i don't think a lot will make the change until they get the notice..
there are a lot of gorean sims and bdsm sims and other adult content eastates still out there and that will advertise under adult..
plus i don't believe zindra will be all adult content..i think a lot will be looking at the value of that mainland and trying to get in there..

some may be adult content to get the swap..then the auction will be who ever wants it most lol

either way it will be interesting to see after everyone is settled in what the numbers will be

LL definitely has made things a lot more confusing than they need to. But then, that seems to be their business model.

Are child avatars allowed on Adult land? Child avatars are allowed on adult land as long as they are account verified like any other Resident. Those choosing to represent themselves with a child avatar do not represent a minor as the account holder. Not all adult land is going to be hosting adult content either. There is plenty of protected land on Zindra that will technically be adult but safe in terms of content. This however does not change any prior policies regarding child avatars. Sexual ageplay is not allowed anywhere on the grid, regardless of rating

Linden land, infohubs, those places aren't suitable for adult content and there's no clause anywhere that says Zindra can only be used for adult content.

The state of Nevada used to allow legal whorehouses. Did that mean that every square inch of the state was a whorehouse, and unsuitable for children? No. It just meant that whorehouses were legal there. A child still could not legally go INTO a whorehouse, but they could ride their bike down the street in front of a row of them.

There's a very simple reason why child avatars that have been verified are allowed on Zindra. Zindra is not a continent created for people to be sexually intense on every square meter of land everywehre. Zindra is a continent created for actual adults to visit. Real life adults. Not adult avatars. All verified avatars are validly assumed to be real life adults, regardles of the status of their avatar as a furry, a dragon, a hedgehog, a ferret, a butterfly, a scorpion, a zebra, or even a child. They're still adults.

This does not mean that you can open up Joe's Mustang Ranch and Whorehouse for the Unenlightened and allow child avatars inside. It merely means child avatars are allowed to be on the continent outside of said establishment, and inside venues which do not have the wrong content.

I am of a firmmind about it, so no point in explaining on. I hear the reasons I just do not agree.

Actually by saying what they have that is exactly what you can do. There is nothing there stating child avatars are NOT allowed in those places. What they says is.. there will be places where sexual content is not prominent.........

We been getting good traffic in Zindra (and no griefers BTW!)...except for the last couple days... which I'm attributing to it being summer and people doing crazy things like GOING OUTSIDE! (WTH?!).

Anyway, y'all gotta get started about the ageplay thing again, jeebus. Since LL made the very bad decision to ban something not illegal in RL (Please don't start on this; If I spank my 30-year old girlfriend every night and she calls me Daddy, no laws were broken* and trust me, a very good time was had by all) but since we already went there, I would prefer they just go ahead and stay logically true to their own decisions (however poor) to pander to prudes and go ahead and ban any (adult-verified adults playing) kids on Zindra. No adults wearing diapers either! But that's just cause I find that gross. Oops, there I go enforcing my personal preferences on others. My bad


*Not legal in some countries is totally a cop out BTW. It is not legal to be GAY in some countries. Bestiality is not legal in a LOT of places (Sorry Furry Peeps! I personally find that totally repugnant, but I support your right to virtually bump really ugly uglies). It is a slippery slope, but we already on the downhill slide.

I worry we won't have customers if we don't protect people left in mature, either with their ratings staying as they were or getting them a land deal too.

That is a good point; and I really hope they stick to the decision to allow sexing in private on mature.

K I just re-read this and I hadn't really thought about that, but yeah, as I understand it, there is no more outdoor sexing on mainland. Guess that will be one reason to visit Zindra, at least I hope so.

/me believes that more than half the cyber in SL takes place while avs are in simple cuddle anims, or even in separate sims ostensibly sorting inventory.

/me also notes that an Intan stocked with 'intimate' anims can be used anywhere on a property with no visible evidence when not in use, and that most residential areas are empty nearly all the time.

There will be outdoor shenanigans on the part of avatars that don't own businesses etc., and thus have little to lose. Indeed, if there were MORE outdoor 'exercise' now that there's a little spice of danger, it would be completely consistent with human nature.

Then, for repeat offenders, short suspensions escalating to longer suspensions.

I imagine many ARs for ... what... public indecency? will be filed with pictures that don't show the avatar's name, since you actually have to DO something to show names in a snapshot. All such ARs will probably be ignored, since they could be anybody. Sex equipment out in the open will result in the parcel owner being dinged, I would imagine.

Yet another reason to turn off building and object entry!
