The safest one to give is none of them.
There's no point in it. Almost no one uses age verification now, and at least according to the plans presented now for the Adult Content Policy, it won't be required in the future, either. LL has stated that having payment information on file will be all the account verification residents need to be able to access adult content once the policy is enacted. No, I have not used age verification, and I do not plan to in the future. _____________________

Do you have a credit card on file with LL, and have used it to buy land or Lindens, or used it on SLX? If so, according to the plan, you are already verified. And you will only need to be verified to acess certain types of adult content, not SL itself.

Has age verification via payment info been implemented yet? Is there some place in the wiki or LL website stating they will use this for verification? I really do not want to give out my personal info if I do not have to.
The reason I ask is I tried TPing to a region to shop today and got the message " Can not teleport. You must be age-verified to enter this region." I am rather confused as to why the sim owner set it to age-verified as I have shopped there before and all it had was nice medieval clothing and things. |

I was age verified via CC info when I started, they decided that CC would not be enough so bought in the new system and I agreed to also do that giving my licence number. NOw the CC is accepted so its fairly easy for most ppl to join.

Thats a age-verify (AV) setting in the land controls we have had for a long time. Is an option of the land owner to set or not as they choose at the moment. What this new policy is about is that it will no longer be an option, be compulsory, for land that provides AX content or activities. Although I think that PIU is going to be the new AX compulsory flag and the existing AV flag still going to be an option for landowners as well. |

Actually this information is from a quote by a Linden in one of the Adult Continent threads that were opened right after the announcment about the planned continent. To my knowledge it has not become a policy yet. Not holding my breath myself... |

I age verified by standing in front of one of those airport security see-through machines LL have installed in some of the sekrit infohubs. (My god, she really does have her driver's license and SS # tatooed on her butt. And, hmmm.....)

Them having your FULL drivers licence number, or the last 4 digits of the SSN that they cant do much with? I used the last 4 of my SSN.. If it comes back verified either they dont check anything and only datamined a partial number from me, or it does actually check something meaning they have access to it already. Verified 2 of my alts too.. I originally verified way back when the beta verify was first started, so I could really care less if they get exact duplicate info of what they already have. There's been quite a few owners and places locking down their land ahead of the upcoming adult content thing. Everyone knows that LL has already made up their minds about it so they're just being preemptive and abiding by the proposed rules early. Some of my favorite haunts have already done this, so I'm glad I wasn't waiting for payment info verification.. I'd be bored silly. |

Yes, the last 4 of SSN would be the better choice, by far.
Also, there will still be a reason to age-verify, even after Payment Info On File (or Used) is enough to enable access to Adult sims. That's because landowners will still be expected to flag parcels (and Estates) to limit access to "Age-verified Adults" only--an additional hurdle beyond the Adult sim restrictions. (That's not to say that this makes sense, nor that it actually works, nor that many landowners will really do it, but that's what's intended.) |

Why? The adult content thing doesn't require Aristotle age verification and setting the Aristotle age verification check doesn't do anything to prepare for the adult content rules. In lieu of definition, superstition FTW. |

I've done it myself, attempting to make the parcels appear especially in need of moving. No idea if it helps. I've tried to dream up disgustingly smutty descriptions, too, and scattered Xtreme Adult content as best I could. In lieu of definition, superstition FTW. Maybe we should all pitch in and throw an org..I mean party at your place. I may have a few items in my inventory that you can use. They are strictly for educational purposes, of course. _____________________

the AV system sucks

Its all very fun but what annoys me is that part of the website doesn't actually work properly
My BF was putting in the info it asks of him and it failed every time, so even though hes 24 he has to play SL as a minor because LL wont pull their fingers out and finish what they started. Beta this Beta that. FINISH THE BLOODY JOB |

Beta this Beta that. FINISH THE BLOODY JOB I haven't bothered with it. I don't trust the data collection agency... err verification agency I also don't have my card or pay pal linked to my account. If this means after the rules go into effect some places I visit will no longer be available unless they are private islands so be it. If it means SL dies because of privacy concerns driving away users, oh well. |

Your driver's license number is a matter of public record. If I really want it, I need only to contact the state that issued the license and ask for it. (Some states probably have a processing fee for this).
