From: Amaranthim Talon Why the hell can't people just post as who they are and feel the need to create a friggin alt??? This! What's with the alt invasion lately? Seriously - If you don't have the guts to say it with your main, then it's not worth saying at all!

I was dancing with someone in the CS passport Malibu/Brown skin from Free Dove. She suggested that I bought better a skin which I thought was fair enough - whilst being pretty good for a freebie, it does lack the tone and definition of ones you pay more than 500L$ for (I've now got LushD Francesca caramel with scarlet lips).
Then she offered to give me some shapes and I felt really insulted. I'd only been in SL for a short while but my shape was already 'me' and there's no way I'd want to change it - especially because it's a mix of my RL self and Xena, Warrior Princess (I didn't hesitate with the sliders to boost my hips and wack on a bit of muscle, which I guess other women rarely do) - and I get compliments, appreciation and tongues hanging out every where I go.
Bizarrely, she was a woman with the figure of a young teenage boy (er ... not that there's anything wrong with that!).

I think the recent invasion (alts and otherwise) has been provoked by the closure of the shopping forum . . . Pep ( . . . with the consequent ten point reduction in the already pretty meagre participant IQ average )

To everyone in the thread who had a stranger walk up and insist they change shape or skin or hair to suit the stranger.
Just mute them, and move on. If you like how you look, that's what counts.

From: Vance Adder Nothing against Redgrave at all. There are some fantastic products there (I own a number of them). However, *everyone* uses their skins.
@OP: You look fine. No, not everyone! Sure, the face of the Redgrave skins are really awesome, but the body itself is always the same except the tan level. This and the aforemention fact that many many people uses them made me buy a skin from someone else.

I think it is rather presumptuous when people do this and beyond rude. Since i do hang out at a lot of club/adult places, i sometimes have new people compliment me and ask me questions and which point i am glad to give them advice and tell them where to go to get on the path to looking less new/freebie'ish. I have notecard for men on every place they can go that will make them look so damn sexy its unbelievable. Girls will fall over themselves to IM them or be too intimidated.

Well, this thread is winding down. The unintended benefit of my little rant was that I did accomplish a minor upgrade...thanks to all, especially Seven and Lin for their personal evaluations! Still in progress, but this is a Freebie Eloh. Bren, nice shirt!

Briana, could you please send me that notecard? I meet a lot of newbie guys who ask for exactly that. It would be nice to know what to tell them. I have some notecards from Skel which are great, but it's always nice to have more. .

From: Darien Caldwell You look fine to me. As long as *you* like your look, that's the important thing. EXACTLY! Don't let anyone pressure or make you think you are not what they think you should be. You look fine. Also, a very popular friend of mine wears one of the newbie skins and she never lacks for attention!

Lookin' good, Sarah, though I think I actually liked the first picture better. (And yeah, great shirt! lol)
One thing did strike me about the more recent picture - it may be just the angle, but to me the neck looks rather long. Now, I'm not an artist or physiologist, so I may be quite wrong, but it struck me in that photo for some reason.

. Oh, I do that every day....get up, make coffee, kick my lazy step brother in the butt and call him ugly. Why do you ask, Seven?
