Yes, this is a very interesting story . . . even without knowing most of the details. Piecing it together: Naked woman chained to rock. Angry at Love. Trout standing around staring. Love poking at the angry naked woman with a stick. Trout drooling and muttering something about a slut score. Angry naked chained woman getting more and more enraged.

Er, if I had put it that way, she might well have consented...

OK - lessee here. I'll go back and reassess. As I recall I gave you a 5.5. Which put you in the hot girl next door/with the possibility of slutty behind closed doors category - one of my personal favorites.

First of all, I'm confused. Since the discussion of moving the cartel to a new forum we now have a forum created by 3Ring, a forum created by Suezanne and Qie has invaded the Black Thong Mistresses thread. Where am I suppose to post????? My head is spinning.

Secondly, I finally stopped off at the Hangout. Very nice. Had some stuff to organize so rather than sitting on my beach at home I came here and sat on the dock. No one came by and stayed but it's a great place. I look forward to joining some of the fun.

Yep the Hangout is very cool. I stopped off and had a look the other day. Great project and I applaud all who have been / are involved!

I often find it deserted as well, but that's mainly because I go when I am up way too late at night, and everyone else is logged off. On the other hand, I do occasionally meet up with an early riser in Europe, which is nice.

Perhaps when someone is hanging out at the hangout and would welcome company, they can send out a quick IM... "I'm at the hangout, if anyone wants to join me." (But keep it IM, not a group notice.)

that depends on how you (as the creator) set the permissions. deeding an object to the group is essentially 'selling' it to another person. once deeded the creator will only be allowed whatever permission were granted to the second owner prior to deeding.

Worse than you not being able to move it, it is now owned by an entity called "The Forum Cartel" who doesn't "exist" in the same way an avatar does. Thus "The Forum Cartel" can't even return it to you because the object doesn't remember that it belonged to anyone but the non-entity.

Not much of a mess to clean up. I've taken care of it as I'm bucking for the elite title of "Head Janitor". But I did want to make the point to keep accidental loss to a minimum. That's a good idea. it would get back to the original ideas of impromptu gatherings. Also it tends to be busier on weekends. Even if no one is there it's a nice place to relax, boat, fly, work on stuff, etc. I'm going over there right now in fact to have my coffeee and maybe take Huey out for a spin.

i don't really need to reown anything, as i gave it to the land for the group. but, if you hate the bar there (i wanted to dump the stools but now can't) how can you get rid of it? YIKES! i have made a mess now.

i simply followed advice of someone about deeding, and didn't bother to research the proper method, or implications. above someone said that the creator should still be able to access the edit choices, but i am the creator and i am not able. so, i'm confused.... but, i will also NOT be placing anything else. i'll leave that to those who know wut in the hell they are doing.

I've done that too but a couple people showed up and some pleasant, low-key conversation ensued. I like the idea of a "hey, I'm here" message. Is it obvious to someone like me who hasn't used the newer communication functions much which is the right kind of message to send without being a nuisance?

Use the Group IM for general, and we'll save the Group Notes for more Formal occasions

You are welcome to throw crumbs of pie crust our way as sustenance, to post an occasional accolade for our perspicacity in promptly pouncing on the place, or, if you should hear anguished cries of lonliness from this isolated advance party, to appoint a Mistress of the Black Thong to console us in this Selfless Effort On Your Behalf.

Personally, I would prefer the latter consolation to the former sustenance.
