Another thought:

I was a landlord for quite some time and I never sought to educate people about prims. But one question was common, and I always answered (as a store owner, I still do). That is, how can you know how many prims someone else's object is made of. E.g. before you buy something. That's a common question that many people don't know the answer to and I'm sure that landlords will explain it if asked.

When you click about land, doesn't it say homestead on it? I don't recall that is why I am asking and I'm not inworld.

I did not see that but it is possible that I missed seeing it. I did click the land but he was typing

like

this

so I had to also keep watching the chat.

If I'd known what to ask it would've been better, but I didn't. What I needed to know was how and why a quarter sim only had that many prim, and why it was being advertised as a quarter sim. To me if it is mostly water that still is not a quarter sim, even though more experienced renters will apparently figure that out. New renters don't notice prim amounts. I did not know what they were until I rented something. I rented something similarly advertised, an 'island' which was really just a piece of land they had put water around to make sort of a border. But it was advertised at its actual size (of the land.) I thought this was the same thing but advertised another way. That is where I got confused.

Thank you everyone for educating me. :)

Awww....Sweety, everyone makes mistakes.

Education is really the key here. Also if you are looking at homesteads vs full sim, you definitely must educate yourself about what you can and cannot do on the homesteads vs full sims. Be sure to read the wiki and if you still fully don't understand, feel free to ask here. As you can see, there are lot of folks willing to provide assistance. :)

Good luck on your seach!

Where you made your first mistake and it went downhill from there is when you said "they lie"........regardless of whether or not the "they" were there to hear your comment. "They" were not lying..........you were mistaken, instead. You can't expect someone to be overly nice to you when the first thing they hear from you is that you called them a liar.

Sometimes it's better the keep your fingers still when you are not sure of something.

I wouldn't want to rent to you either. What you were probably looking at was a homestead sim. It's very common to terraform them with lots of water in between the parcels so that people have perceived privacy. 16384 sqm is a quarter sim (Not half like you insisted) and on a homestead you get 937 prims with a quarter sim. The owner was trying to explain it to you, but you were not listening.

I to agree..... (I would not have banned you though)
I have a friend of mine that owns a nice chunk of mainland, its a lovely spot to be sure but we were talking and I asked her how many prims she had (didnt look at land at the time) she said to me. I dunno... and of course I went on talking and explaining about prims and sq.m and such and she went like.. "blink blink" "DO you like my dress?" so sometimes.. they really dont care..
