did you find a messenger that lets you speak in sl from outside of it??if you can't i am sure i can find one of the links.it's been a while since i have used one..
i had to use one when i was stuck on dialup and it worked great =)

I'm just wondering what these forums would be like if everyone that decided that they didn't want to be in-world anymore and to stop "playing" SL would post a new thread on these forums.

It's sad when anyone for whatever reason decides that SL is not for them, given their RL, but I'm not sure it's on its own worthy of a forum thread.

Now, if the person had a business with lots of customers or had made an otherwise major contribution to SL or these forums, it might be a little different.

I just wonder why people feel the need to post a goodbye in such a public a manner, if it's not to get some sort of attention...

Obviously this person likes drama and is beating around the bush trying to get attention, we will never know if this person really is leaving or if they are clinically depressed and like to get as much attention as possible
I have known some to do this sort of thing in here they say RIP in their profile or some other dramatic thing, then sit for a few days and come back to see if anyone responded to their said drama.
We all need to just shut up and let this person deal with their issues alone and stop adding fuel to the fire.
Wish you well in whatever way your messed up mind is working right now, but if you are truly leaving then just say goodbye and leave it at that..stop trying to get all of us suckers to keep asking you why your leaving..its dram plain and simple and you are the king of it right now.

A while ago I had a friend leave SL . She did not come to the forum and post a long dramatic tail, she popped into SL when to her friends list and sent out an IM. It said "Hi all As you know there have been a few things going on in RL of late as well as in here and I am going to have to take time out. Not sure if/when Ill be back but here is my email address and yahoo name if you want to contact me. "
