From: Imogen Saltair Don't go to the same places, don't wear the same clothes, skins, shapes, hair, don't join the same groups, don't talk on voice, don't show the same skills, don't make the same typos, and most of all, don't talk to the same people as your main account.
imogen QFT!!! My first alt was basically a "Czari Twin" and I finally figured one of "me" was enough.

Getting any rain from Fay yet?
Weather reports for Central FL over the weekend was that "rain would begin Tuesday afternoon, building in intensity through Thursday, spawning potential tornadoes." Now living across the street from where the freak tornado hit 2 years ago, that was just lovely to hear.
This morning's radio weather report was - "Fay *may* veer North before coming inland which would mean she would pass us by."
I vote for option #2, but got my hurricane supplies ready anyway.

From: Imogen Saltair ... I can just imagine the Noob's horrified, confused and amazed face when he opened the sort of box I would be dumping there... the unused items from my inventory are weird, diverse, mostly useless and mainly called 'object'. /me reaches into the box labeled "Imogenation" and pulls out... An airship! Yay! Just what I always wanted!!

Of course it wouldn't work, because nasty people would put nasty scripted objects in the box and non PG things and so on, but I can just imagine the Noob's horrified, confused and amazed face when he opened the sort of box I would be dumping there... the unused items from my inventory are weird, diverse, mostly useless and mainly called 'object'.

Somewhere, I can't remember where, on one of my first days inworld I got a great "gift" that still makes me laugh every time I see it in my inventory. It's called "Your Special Gift" and in the box is a bowel-movement animation.

I put a script together at one point that detected whether avatars walking by were rezzed "today", poofed and gave lucky birthday folks a gift. But sensors for such silly things are evol, and date manipulations suck, so it's rotting on my hard drive Be a cute thing to have in gift/card shop, which is what I originally developed it for. Before I decided SL life would be better if I just gave away anything I made! You could do the same thing on-touch, I guess. But you'd have to have a lot of folks touching your sign to make it worthwhile. .

Nika, the Help People! group has a HUD and an in world greeter thing that detect noobs and offer them a notecard. Might be similar to your script.

From: Lowen Raymaker Media streams are the key to determining alts. ...so never alt-stalk a DJ. I've wondered if disabling media streams in your preferences cancels this truth out.
