Marty Personally, I would put the creator on you ban list, it can't be good for the neighbourhood and will decrease your property value

That's just it... for a split second I felt myself starting to get angry.. but almost immediately started laughing as I went from room to room.. it really was amusing for some reason.. I have build for group only, and I have entry on as I myself am annoyed at not being able to fly about a sim, so it's just a matter of principle there. I had figured maybe somebody in a nearby location just lost control of stuff as they were moving it around. Odd thing is, the objects were owned by two different people. Oh dear, I'm at work and read this thread. Now I have to clean the keyboard. Again. I NEVER get anything interesting on my land....not even freebie sex beds.... ...oh, wait, maybe I should at least enable object entry...

From: Zaphod Kotobide So I came "home" tonight after helping a friend with a few issues.. -There's a black dragster in my living room -There's a "Brain in a Jar" sitting atop a lamp shade, also in my living room -There's a Universal Original Stargate DHD whatever in my media room -There's a "Steeled Earth" sword.. actually two of them.. in my hallway. In my creation room, there's a "Resellable 62 Animated Sex Bed" -There is also a bone ---An AP Stargate ---A portapotty ---A Buffalo ---A teleporter beam that leads to god knows where In my office, there's a basic tent - and a trash can that's currently on fire. And wedged into the roof in front of my house is an object entitled: -"Inuki - Slutty Kitty (8 Pages)" So I ask you, esteemed residents, how do you react to this sort of thing? I found it thoroughly amusing, and also wish that I could take copies of a few of the items before I nuke them. Your reaction? How much do you want for the Bed?

From: Brenda Connolly How much do you want for the Bed? I'll have the Brain in a Jar! Oh, and the Inuki object is furry cartoon porn. I have it in a freebie box. I didn't look at it, honest. It just fell open when I was trying to throw it away.

I used to have a 30m long elevated platform that led into my store. People would tp to the plot at the end of the platform and would get to see my great store from the outside as they walked in. Went on holiday for a week, somehow land settings reset and poeple were able to rez objects. When I got back I had numourous IM's waiting from regular customers. To start with someone had built a casino along the 30m platform, 20 slots machines in all, even put a sign up with the casino name. Then apparently in the following days my shop got messier and messier, stuff rezzed everywhere from the genetalia enabled sheep to a couple of 10m x10 breasts dangling from the ceiling. The person who had set up the casino had even installed camping chairs! so he was paying people to camp on my plot which was pointless as there was no mention of casinos or gambling in my land description so it would not attract him any extra visitors in the 'places' search'. Or so I thought, by pushing up the traffic for my own shop, he had been presented with lots of cutomers to entice onto his slot machines and from the emails I recieved the slot machines were busier than my shop. Sales were very bad that week and needless to say I 'did my nut' when I found out what was going on. Can see the funny side now though.

Morwen. I was under the impression that if you didn't own the item, delete was the same as return. At least that is how it works when I use it on my partner's objects. We were cleaning up an old build of ours on some land we were selling and deleting railroad tracks, etc. Whenever either of us "Deleted" the other's section of track, rock, tree, etc., it ended up in the owner's Lost and Found, similar to using Return (we were deleting because they were all copyable items). I guess Delete is more satisfying though, if you find it offensive. I'm like others here, when I find foreign prims on my land, I usually seek them out to see what they are...usually an errant boat or plane in my case. Once I found a jetski going in circles centered in the sim next door, lol, had a hard time actually selecting it to return it, it was moving so fast and I had to get it while it was on my land (actually in my bay). That was kinda fun. otoh, I had a neighbor on the island (for a very short time, though). Once I was building and typed the wrong coordinate in for a prim and lost track of it. Searched but couldn't find it (a default .5m cube). When that neighbor found, omg, you'd have thought I was doing something nasty in her living room with a goat, lol. I was perhaps "overly" apologetic...

i went on vacation for a week, and left build on. OOPS! i came back to several IM's from neighbors in my sim that the 15-20 nuclear bomb things that someone dumped all over were not only lagging up the joint, they were making this really loud and obnoxious staticy sound.... x20. i deleted them, not return, but i forgot to catch the name of the griefer for my ban list. doggone it!

I have autoreturn set for 2 hours (120) on one of my open stretches so its serves as an unofficial sand box..once someone built a large castle in much less time! I couldn't do that!
Do we have gypsy avatars, super builders who just set up large builds on open land?
When I returned it, he fell naked to the ground and flew off!

From: Kevyn Hienke I was under the impression that if you didn't own the item, delete was the same as return. It is. If you Return a Copy item it gets deleted. If you Delete a NoCopy item, it gets returned. Delete/Return doesn't matter. What deciedes the action is the permissions of the item. LL has removed the choice from our hands for our "protection". *chews on the plastic caps over the electrical sockets* ~Jessy

I manage a series of sims that include surfing areas. Of course, we have to leave Build on so the surfers can rez their board. We clearly state that no mechanized devices can be rezzed to keep with the theme.
About once a week, I come across someone who REALLY wants to drive a car on top of or through the surfing wave for some reason. I politely ask him (99% of the time it seems to be a male) not to do that and explain why.
Usual response? Profanity or they ignore me. So, I return the vehicle to them.
They respond by cussing at me and rezzing it again. I return it and tell them no cars on top of or in the wave, please.
Most folks stop there, but once a month or so, the guy will swear a blue streak and rez the car again. I tell them it's going bye-bye, count to three and then delete it.
If they don't get the hint then, I eject and ban them.
A pain, yes, but it's actually quite funny to see one of these guys fall on their butts as their car disappears around them.

Sunday night I got strange email from someone saying I had objects on their land after few crashes I found myself in land that I had own briefly in months ago. At time I sold everything everything was returned. Then Sunday went there I still had prim hedges up there. I hadn't owned the property for months.

Two days in a row has somebody decided they would rez a hut (different ones each time) and try to live on our land. I was shocked, but thought it was funny at the same time as I did a return. XD

When she was evicted, she insisted we BUILD he a new island at our cost, of course.

We furries realy know how to throw a party huh? So that was your house? You may want to clean your carpets, the upholstery on the furniture, and .... well you probably don't want to know what we did on your dining room table.

Hummm. Not a problem for me any more at my home, as absolutely no one can enter my land unless they are a member of my household, nor can they enter the sim I live in unless they are a member of one of the three households that live in our sim. Very exclusive area - off the map private sim.
As for my other land... If it's a vehicle I find, I merely return it without comment or complaint, especially if it looks likely it wound up there by accident. If it doesn't look accidental, like a batmobile dumped in the swimming pool, and there's nowhere anywhere close that anyone could drive a car, it's AR and then Return.
I recently had a noob appear on a parcel I am selling, and she started filling the 8k M2 parcel with all sorts of junk, while I was in the bungalo at one end, preparing the place for sale. I had allowed build to be on so prospective buyers could lay out some prims to see if their house would fit the lot. I initially returned all her crap, and then realized she was still there, rezzing more stuff. I turned off Build, and IM'ed her, asking if she intended to purchase the lot. One word reply "no". I informed her that this was not a public sandbox, and that she must go elsewhere to practice building. She left without comment.
I think if I found a LOT of crap spread all over my house like the OP reported, I'd see who owned it all, and send one AR for each piece of trash, as I returned each one.

Sorry, but you people with your ARs, ban lines, autoreturn, and deadly seriousness make me sad. In my opinion, you're missing the point of this thread.
Please try attending a party with a lampshade on your head at least once before you die. I'll buy you the lampshade if you'll promise to lighten up. (bad pun intended)

Ah, so your the reason ARs never get answered! If you go around AR things that aren't an ARable offence then it's no wonder the system doesn't work. Rezzing an object on land that has build on is not a breach of the TOS. Just so you know.

i check my land a few times a week using the about land and refresh list on the objects page, when anything is there that doesnt belong, i return it all to the owner, except once it was a neighbor whose build extended, i sent the fellow an IM and he moved what was on my land. i usually try to highlight whatever it is first to be sure it isnt that situation... but yes, i boot it back at the owner...i dont litter anyone elses land, and expect others to show the same courtesies
