Has he been using a key logger, that monitors all the keys that have been pressed and which order? I saw an article about these on TV - with that he could only monitor what you said, not what others said.
Apparently what it does is put in a programme that logs every key you press and then it can be fed onto a memory stick, if neccesary, and the 'spy' can read the info elsewhere, if necessary. From what I could gather, it sounds like this thing doesn't need to hack your software, like SL viewer or anything, because it simply monitors what you type on your keyboard.

(That's a dramatic story for another time.) She said that it was impossible and the only place that the IM logs are stored is on the users computer, and if you don't record your chat logs then no one could see your IM.
I have heard from other people who live with computer geniuses that indeed Linden Labs does keep all of the IM conversations on a server some place and Yes, they are accessible to whomever knows how to get them using Open Source.
I have moved to Emerald browsers which have an encryption feature to prevent this, but the encryption only works with other people who have Emerald as their sl viewer.
I'd like some clarificaton on this, and perhaps some instruction on how to retrieve chat logs. After all, Turn about is fair play... Your husban is a douchebag.

From: Day Oh I wonder why you guys decided that so strongly? Is it because of the sheer volume of fixed issues? Or because they never disclose them afterward? heh I think that people are overstating the case, but it is true that there are WAY fewer vectors of attack on a remote system than on one that local which you have admin privs on, and much easier to do at the local level (given all the programs that can be downloaded with no experience to use)

From: Lindal Kidd Are we talking RL husband here, or SL partner? I got the distinct impression that she is talking about her RL husband showing her the chat logs cuz she mentioned that one way she knows he did not spy on the network to get them is cuz she never logs in from home, only from work.
