Arrange a small adventure. I'd probably go on a helicopter or small 'plane trip just to see things from above, but you probably have different taste.

Pep, where was the option : "Move the wife's body before that pesky inspector comes around again."?

Or

"Finish building that giant wicker man then hunt for a virgin to burn for better crops next year."? (added bonus that you get to dance naked with your female cult members)

None of the poll answers really worx for me . ( Thinks about pies .. but nah ).

Go get your hands on a Stratocaster and bend some strings.

P.S. Rest in peace Les Paul ... We Will miss you dude.

i don't think Les would much approve as it would be a Fender (offender?). doubtless he'd reach over and try to yank out the cord as he did when he played with Jeff Beck...

Make sure you find time to decorate the cows. I'm looking forward to the pics on your blog :)

p.s. What does SWAMBO stand for? Is it Significantly Wiser And More Beautiful Other?

Unlike Rumpole and Argent, who must have fairly unemphatic relationships and less of a feel for acronyms, SWAMBO means She Who *Absolutely* Must Be Obeyed. ;)

Pep (But not if I can avoid listening to her, or she doesn't explain herself clearly. :p )

PS Joke for Chris: What do you call an actor with three wooden heads? Edward Woodward.

Heh, I was wondering if Chris was referring to the original "The Wicker Man," or the remake (which I have not seen).

Yes, but Lee eating Cheerios would be more interesting to watch than Cage doing just about anything.

PS Unsurprisingly enough, no-one voted for me to remain in the forums, so enjoy the respite.

I think the word "nuisance" was repellant. I think you are more of a permanent fixture in the forums, and not so much of a nuisance.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Enjoy your pie laden holiday!

Either you have a breakfast cereal fetish or you're NOT as much of a redneck as you put on. :)

EDITED because wow, did that one extra word make a difference.

The original is much better.

Bad remakes make the mistake (aside from being a remake in the first place) of changing the formula.

Plus, Sir Lee is outstanding in anything. :)

(I do like Cage too, though. But, really he's in the Edward Woodward part. Ellen Burstyn was in the Lee role.)

Aw, Pep. That isn't (necessarily) why.

I voted that way because I think offline time is something all 'wired' families miss today. Also, kids grow up fast, and memories are what we take with us. That, and good deeds.

You'll be glad when you're 80 I think, for the times you spent with them, and they will someday for the same reason. But no one's gonna remember the 1000th time they sat online.

I met a Texan ( or was it an Australian?) once who was very boastful about the size of his farm and claimed that it took him two hours to get to the nearest bar in his car.

Pep (I told him that I once had a crappy car like that too. :D )
Hey! That's MY car! :p

I am off work (except for logging in to check the cash flow every morning) for the next two weeks. I am torn between using the time to get more immersed in sl, and taking a break from sl completely - or perhaps there is some compromise that might reinvigorate both my real and virtual lives.

So a) what do you think I should do and b) what do *you* do when you are on leave.

Pep (Those who are "home-makers" or "resting" between employments should use their imagination. :D )

Seriously?
I spend my holidays on the coast and work to improve my woodland and garden - also my ponds and the beach. I really make an effort with the environment since so much coastal land is being developed in North America and I try hard to protect what I can. So maybe you could do something "green" and useful, for a change.
I also love renovation and restoration and that takes up much of my time in the house - planning and working with carpenters etc. So maybe you could put up some shelves and restore your family's faith in you.
I rehearse. On my own. Maybe you could sing songs to yourself.
I drive my MG. maybe you could learn to drive? Or take some courses in defensive driving.
I organize my books, my cds and my clothes. And my earrings. Maybe you could tidy up your room? Or organize YOUR books, cds and clothes? Or get your ears pierced. I like men with pierced ears.
I cook. All my meals. or I go out and really pay attention to what I am eating. Maybe you could learn new recipes?
I go to art galleries and rock concerts - maybe you could do the same? Listen to the radio. Listen to BBC Radio 3 and 4. Don't watch TV.
Contact an old boyfriend. Or, in your case, an old girlfriend and have coffee with her.
I intently listen to cds to gauge the levels of talent. I read. I collect photos and art. I paint. Why now get a paint brush and paint and do a pic of your garden?
I am just about to start a busy part of my year so my world will now be intense and preoccupied - I make time for myself but it's intense again - so enjoy your holiday. Dont get trapped spending ages in sl - breathe real air and walk in a park. Oh, and spend some time with your family and FOR your family. No one can be as close to you as they can. I dont have much of one in real (at least ones tha I trust) - just my Mum, really, so value that time together.
Jiggy.
(PS I thought you were unemployed and on "pogey";)

I will read this one with much interest.

Ditto, Lil ;) I can now read both Brenda and Pep after downloading Chrome and only using it to see their blogs. :p ;)

BTW, voted for pie but would rather have had a chocolate mousse option and Pep, do whatever YOU want to do, it's your holiday!!
