I am doing a new build and looking around at rezzers..Which do you use for your builds or which do you suggest would be the best.. It's a mall and i want to make sure i can give a copy to the owner when i am finished.. If i can do it in one drop thats great .if i have to do it in sections that's ok as well.. I just want to get the best one i can.. Any help on this at all would be wonderful =) Edit: i am so used to posting in this section that i didn't even think if it went in another section..should this go in building or is this a legitimate RA question? sorry if i messed up

I use builder's buddy: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Builders_BuddyMostly 'cause it's free, and has always worked great for me. Others use commercial systems rez_faux or rez_foo. I assume both of these are better documented than Builder's Buddy, but so far as I can tell by watching them, the basic method is exactly the same. Here's the thread about it: /54/2b/96792/1.html.

Building Buddy is the defacto standard for large builds. I'm sure someone has made improved versions of it by now.

I've used Rez Faux for years and am very happy with it.

I've never made a build big enough to need one but I'm interested in this topic just in case.
Rez Faux is the one I've seen most often when I've purchased builds. As a consumer I like whichever one it is that allows me to store prim positions, I've had some of my rezzed builds experience drift or people accidentally returning part of a build (myself included) and this has proven invaluable.

I too have a copy of Rez Faux in my inventory and it does work great but did the creator ever finally get around to updating it to use llRegionSay instead of shout to overcome the 100 meter limit?

i was just doing some reading on this Rez Faux..i found something that sounds really interesting..there is a temp rezzor that also works with it and you can temp rezz your builds..but when someone goes to purchase from it they only get the Rez Faux version minus the temp rezzor.. that sounds so much better than repacking a build after showing it to someone..
i am still doing some reading on the builder_buddy..
thank you all so much for such fast and informative responses =)

Rez Foo, if it is a complicated build or I am packaging it for resale as a prefab, and anticipate it may get de-rezzed and rezzed and moved a lot by the new owner.
Builder's Buddy if it is a simpler build, and/or I don't anticipate the build getting moved often.

Rez Foo does not have the 100 meter limit. This is important because it shows that the creator cares enough to change and update their products as more LSL options become available. More expensive but if I had to do it all over again I would fork over the extra cash.

Thanks. I was looking through the search for the same info. My structures aren't that big yet, but I was wondering if I needed a rezzer to combine phantom elements into a build? I know that there is a script to do that, too, but perhaps based on a hack? If I begin selling, I want to make sure that my customer can set up the house or lounge with ease.

She is like the Neo of coding LSL. Besides the fact she is the only person i can feed my crazy ideas to and she spits them back out in LSL code.

Pretty much that, i beta tested several versions of it aswell as suggested a few features that are in it, plus CrystalShard is simply one of the only coders I know that has programming standards set as high as mines.

From: Maelstrom Janus Do these rez 'gadgets' overcome the prims too far apart to link message ?? Yes, that is their main purpose. That is, they position multiple linksets in the same place relative to each other that they originally occupied. And, they include a way to reposition the entire rezzed build in one operation. .

Are we taking about rezzers for permanent structures here out of temp prims?

From: Storyof Oh Are we taking about rezzers for permanent structures here out of temp prims? No, this is a completely different, sim freindly application. It allows a creator to package up thier build of multiple linksets and the customer can rez everything in the correction location. They can then move the rez box up/down or rotate/move the build as necessary and then either delete the build for whatever reason or hit the clean button to leave the build and remove the scripts. There are freebie and $L1 builds packaged with Rez Faux on XLStreet if you are curious as to how the consumer package works.
