And what about when the guy is the one being clingy and not letting the girl breathe?

Someone asked in another thread why I would put someone on my friend's list on mute...here's a good reason. ;)

Why is love in SL like a camping honeymoon?

Pep (They are both two in tents.)

PS Say it fast.

Yeah , we get it, dad.

my two $L's-

Even when it's over, the grieving part can and should be felt completely. Chatting with a friend earlier who was having some relationship ups and downs- scared to jump too far into the fire for fear of getting burned - having been in that fire, I can tell you there is definitely another side and you might as well sit and bask in the warmth of it now. "That which does not destroy me," etc. And what lies ahead can be so glorious. :)
So good fortune Jax, this too shall pass.

Ricardo is just jealous because he hasn't met anyone who would actually want to cling on him.

I didn't come to SL imagining I would ever fall in love but I did. People are REAL here. You can tell much from their personalites from words and choices. And people REALLY do fall in love. The break up was horrible...SL misery. But I learned a lot and feel stronger for it. And there is light at the end of the tunnel. Good things will turn up again and maybe you won't forget that person but others will come along because for me, once you've been close with someone in SL, you'll want that again. SL I have found, is about relationships.

She told me to take a hike because she was falling for me and wasn't ready to deal with it right now. I believe her. Earlier in the day we discussed things and everything was fine, we were talking about things we wanted to do with each other in SL. She was saying all the right things early yesterday, but hours later she was the opposite. That turn of events in such a short time tore my heart out.

Jax - Suddenly this thread has meaning to me, especially this explanation. I wanted to ask you - Are you sure you have it right? I mean, did she say "take a hike"? Is it possible she just needed a break from the moment, and not from the relationship? Those are two very different scenarios, and would obviously hail two different outcomes.

I have great difficulty reading between the lines. People often think I am overly forward because I ask such pointed questions. But I have to, because EVERY TIME i assume, or draw conclusions without facts, I am wrong. Every time. Perhaps you are like me in this way. So, I wanted to advise you to think back, and determine if you two discussed in a way that assures you she really didn't want to deal with "right now" or if she actually meant "forever". (Right now is a passing moment. And it passes.)

I know if I was that girl, I would want to be asked straight out. It's been a couple of days now, so you should be able to approach the matter with a little less emotion and a little more logic. And, if you two haven't spoken since the incident, there is no way to know what she has been thinking and feeling and going through. Unless you ask her. For all you know, she could be crying her eyes out, feeling abandoned and helpless all this time too. Make sure you didn't falsely jump to conclusions. What a huge loss if your love was lost over a stupid miscommunication.

That explains a lot!

Pep (All Jax own words. :D )
Wow, someone spent a lot of time just to be insensitive and cruel. Imagine if you used some of your time to be kind to others...

Jax, more people have had that happen to them than will ever admit it here or anywhere. It does sneak up on you and the ramifications can be huge in RL, because it IS RL. As long as real humans are manning the keyboards, it's real stuff. With real emotions. Best of luck moving forward.

What makes you think I don't? See 3Ring's post above about drawing conclusions on the basis of ignorance. Perhaps you should visit more often so you are not posting in so much of a vacuum . . .

Pep ( . . . or stay away.)

I have something to say. Things appear to be worked out with the best of results. We are together again. She cleared up feelings she was confused about with the help of a friend. I have not visited this thread in a few days because we have been working it out and things now are better than they ever were. I want to thank everyone who gave me advice, I really appreciated being able to talk to some of you about it through this thread.

Thank you!

The ones who don't work out, you are better off without, is my experience.

It just never seems so at the moment.

Also remember there is a very real chemical addiction process in falling in love - and out of it, too.
