In addition to Connifer's really good suggestions:

1. When creating New inventory things (Notes, Folder, Clothes), be able to change the name of it before it goes into inventory.

2. Tabbed or other method if selecting prims behind other prims (ie in wireframe view being able to snag the piece of jewelry you thought you'd lost under the carpet).

3. Transparency that respects object order.

4. More details in the avatar mesh. Possible different meshes for girls, boys, men, women so that textures map as expected. I'd love to be able to make a truly pinstriped men's suit. Male avas are soo freaking weird in places!!

5. Permissions that allow no mod / no copy / no transfer.

6. A stable grid, world peace and harmony for all!

I'd like to see the ability to pass calling cards of people around.

lets see...

1. System skirts that don't make your butt look HUGE.
2. Shirts that do not get sucked into your cleavage.
3. llItemDelivered() so vendors can check if an item was delivered/received.
4. More attachment points. chest, chest 2, skull, skull 2, etc...
5. Landmarks in the map drop down menu only read from Your landmark folder and include any subfolders you made.
6. The ability for group owners to turn on/off group chat.
7. Tier priced per M^2 (pay only for the land you have)
8. Some way to target or connect body parts of different avatars (connect avatar A's right hand to avatar B's left hand, or avatar's A's lips to avatar B's lips or well you know...)

I'm curious why you think this would be a bad idea?
If I want to log in and not be bothered so I can build or whatnot why shouldn't I be allowed to do that?
Because griefers might take advantage of the system to hide? That's the only reason I can think of off hand, but this goes to the whole, I shoudln't be allowed to do something because someone else might abuse it argument? I don't agree with that philosophy.

But I think your argument is that if I can't be seen online I shouldn't be allowed to see anyone else online. Is this because of stalkers and the such?

Anyway, just curious what your reasons for this are.

Good grief, I cant believe I am reading this. The abilty to see avatars naked would just be ridiculous. They are only pixels you know. What ever happened to dating and getting to know a person. I am much more interested to know the person behind the avatar. If at some point they are willing to show their avatar naked voluntarily then this is much more meaningfull because it shows the relationship is progressing and in this case rewarding. But not because the private pixels are on display. but because of the symbology.

I would like to see they ability for two avatars to walk as a couple though holding hands etc. I dont know how the mechanics would work but it would be nice if they did. Also maybe the ability to display relationships (perhaps marriage alows this already I don't know).

Actually I did see the father of my ex nude quite regular, but her mom never. Still thanking God daily for that too!


Now I am pretty sure there already are animations for that, might check for example bits&bobs. Relationships between partnered people are visible in the profile, but thats it. All other related people you could use a few Picks for

The ability to TP without being logged out - been happening with my mac since last SL compulsory upgrade

1. The ability to turn off "receive group IMs" for groups you belong to.

2. A simple texture editor built in to the client so you can edit already-uploaded textures without having to keep switching to Photoshop etc.

3. Ability to change the "layer" of a garment in the same way you can change the attach point of a prim attachment.

4. Raise the minimum parcel size to at least 256m - immediate end to ad farms.

The first one exists. It's an invisible vehicle, actually, that one avatar "drives". There are some limitations, such as having trouble handling stairs and rough terrain.

Your Profile displays the name of your SL partner, if any. Plus you can put more information about them in your profile writeups. Or describe any other close relationship other than a formal "partnering" that you may have.

I didn't see her say it was anybody else's fault. Large friend lists are not uncommon. And it's not unreasonable for someone to want a moment of privacy to get something done. Yes an alt is the current solution but it would be convenient to have access to your main inventory, all the tools and attachments you've invested in etc.



Beat me to it. I've been moaning about this for years. Or more specificially the ability for the group owner to disable group IMs, if the group was never intended for IMs. Anyone who has managed a large group intended for Update notices only will know what I'm talking about.

Both of those options would be even better - for a user to be able to turn off IMs for chatty groups when they only need group tag to get access to group land, for instance. And also for group owners to be able to selectively apply the ability to post IMs to specific membership roles. Yes that would be VERY good.
