Over the past year and a half I have had a lot of thoughts about things I'd like to see come to the Second Life viewer, here are my two biggies, what would you like to see? (beyond the obvious stability, asset server type issues being fixed)
* The ability to take a landmark from the search box or the picks in someones profile
* The ability to log in as invisible so that no one can see you online no matter where they look
Either of these seem simple enough to implement.

I CRAVE this. As a club owner, my friends list is incredibly long...trying to get any privacy is impossible.

The ability to hide the clothes layers of other people. Would not mind that ability in real life either.

FaTeke I would LOVE that one too! In addition to the ability to actually have my avatar "be" invisible. I know there are invisiprims and such, but there's always that pesky name floating above one's head. When I played EQ, I LOVED the invisibility spell. Of course it was to get past the monsters in game without getting killed. But there are times in game, like checking out a new club to see if I want to stay without being hit by a zillion hellos and drop down "join this group" etc. stuff, that the ability to be invis would be great!

From: Marcel Flatley The ability to hide the clothes layers of other people. Would not mind that ability in real life either. Sounds good, though if it blanket applied to all people around you, and if you don't swing both ways....there's going to be a 50% yuck! factor

For notecards, clickable HTML links, and text formatting, as well as the ability to embed images (viewable on opening the notecard, rather than as a separate link that needs to be clicked to load the image).
I'll probably think of more later, but those are just little notecard-related things that sprang to mind.

The *yuck* factor might be higher then 50% though, because with many people I would prefer them clothed... I want to be able to right click specific persons/avatars and then choose "hide clothes".

The ability to put folders into prims for storage purposes.

1) Cast shadows and objects blocking light according to their opaqueness. 2) Minor improvements to avatar mesh to give more realistic joint flexibility. 3) Flexible prims setable to non-phantom so hair and skirts don't sink into skin. 4) 'Flexible Link' option between prims or objects. 5) Land owners able to completely prevent parcel encroachment. 6) The ability to slice a cylinder along its axis other than at the diameter. 7) Higher prim allowances for land and for vehicles and increased max prim size.

From: Ann Launay The ability to put folders into prims for storage purposes. Oh good one Ann! I'd like that one too. What I end up doing is creating a box, putting the items from the folder into that box, and then putting that box inside another box! LOL I collect freebies of good quality and put them in boxes to give to noobs when I meet them and this really helps me and them keep it all sorted out. My noobie freebie box is really nice too. I wish I had been given one when I first came into SL. More time consuming but it helps me with my organizing. FaTeke

As an artist, I would like to be able to draw and paint in SL and by that I mean to be able to actually take brush to canvas and create an image. Drawing is the most basic of artforms in RL and yet it's an impossiblity in SL. As it stands, I have to create off-world on my PC with PaintShop and then upload (and keeping my fingers crossed that I've properly configured the image so that it's not too distorted.) It just doesn't feel as authentic a process when you can't create in-world art like the sculpters and photographers are able to do.

Wouldn't hiding clothes also hide the skin / tattoo layer too, so you only see people naked in their newbie skins?

From: Marcel Flatley The ability to hide the clothes layers of other people. Would not mind that ability in real life either. Ya, 'cuz I will jes love fending off the ARed screenshots of my avatar's nude figure. Thanks, but no thanks. Sounds way pervy to me. Yes to all of the above. #1 is sorta being worked on. I;d love a shorter, less wonky avvie. Also visual muting of plots would be nice. Mari

Since clothing layers are different from skin layers, it must be quite simple to just hide clothes. With some more knowledge about the language I bet I could program it into the viewer From: Amaranthim Talon You are fast approaching favorite status in my list Marcel You perverted woman! From: Marianne McCann Ya, 'cuz I will jes love fending off the ARed screenshots of my avatar's nude figure. Thanks, but no thanks. Sounds way pervy to me. Probably it is perverted too But I would want to have it in a pie menu, so I can choose who I virtually undress. So you would be safe

How about the ability to allow a particular agent to access my undress menus? Make it a tikky with the others in the contacts list, even.

From: Marcel Flatley Probably it is perverted too But I would want to have it in a pie menu, so I can choose who I virtually undress. So you would be safe That's great for you -- but do I trust all of SL to not click that for me? Nope. I've had people peek up skirts of mines before inworld, which is why I dun often wear them anymore. If every person had that option, I'd have to start wearing all prims or something. So this idea, I have to give a big...

The first person I saw was a women of about 65-70 pedalling bent-over a bit on a bicycle. Untill that moment, I never knew that certain parts of a women really could reach the spokes of a wheel

Sometimes I tend to be a control freak anyway

Getting back to the question.... I'd would like to see the ability to not crash or get boomeranged during sim crossings.
