WELL i have (and contrary to wtf chix jealous bf's think i am NOT 12). it was during a spate of griefin(Jump lane was banned) when a half dozen of my origional alts were either banned or warned then ALL including Jumpy were asked to age verify.
FORCED or faced permanent discontinuation.
Now it COULD have been that funny (TRUE) story of why The Great Watermelon dresses like a gal 9I'm also perma banned on the linden land he is owner of the group of for examp. The Lib of prims and he Man Statue on Phil's Hill
the fact thatsome turd kid has a myspace called Jumpman Jordon Lane
a LIE by the victims i was rezzin giant invisible megaprim balls on
a LIE i told Arkady Yost usin an alt that Jump was really 12. while hittin on his fat butt wife .
OR it could be that much of my actiities in SL center around PORN.
but curiouser and curioser the Linden who answered my whining tickects to be reinstatd was also the g-team lindne rerspondint to my spate of griefing?
either way i have been inconvenineced and caught up in the witch hunt for lil kiddilies on the grid. JUMPMAN LANE IS NOT A MINOR AND LL HAS THE INFO TO PROVE IT.
but are you next?

I have already age verified, so if anyone has an issue with it and goes to LL they can in return just say, yep she is as old as she says she is
hell if someone thought I was under 18 I would be kinda sorta flattered LOL

I was never asked or forced.. I just did it because I don't want any more 'issues' than I have to have.

I never been asked... maybe its my foil lined hat. I have NOT verified either, I figure that the thousands of dollars Ive spent over the last several years is enough verification And my initial agreement to the TOS is my verification. Let's remember, the verification, stated by LL is for trust perpose like ya, right hehehe

Maybe your lack of writing skills confused them into thinking you were very young? Or maybe they just dislike you?

A number of kid avvies have had to go through 'age verification" -- not the automated system, but faxing/sending RL identification papers to LLs office. Some have even had to do it 2 or more times. Very frustrating.

I also believe it happens in areas where most child avs shouldnt be. I may be wrong but I know I steer clear of places that it may happen in. I feel people who suspect all child avs of misbehaving dont know us very well. OMG I dun it again.... I got 2 different shoes on aarrgghh

I have not submitted to the identity thef..... age verification process yet. I also have NEVER wandered into any region that required it. This includes my random wanderings where I zoom out on the map and double click with my eyes cloesd. (=_=) What scares me is being FORCED into participating in a BETA that requires a huge amount of personal identity information. Add to that, it has to match records of a company that's not really keeping track... So some people have had to backtrack by years to have the "Correct" information. (>_< Sorries... Flawed process... Count me out. (>_<

I tried with the OP - I really, really did. But in the end, I had to give up and go for something a bit easier to read, like Burgess's "A Clockwork Orange" for instance.

ROFL. nope... sad huh? guess I must be a bit rusty with my jumpy lingo or something. I read it over about 4 times, then finally guessed he might be asking if we have verified... so then I replied yes I did then saw the other replies and realized my oopsie...

I had friend pre-age verifying that was banned for 5 days and required to fax proof of her age for some unknown reason. Personally its never happen to me but I don't go out much and I am usually pretty small and child like in my pixel appearance. I don't go very often to adult theme places, I have few times but its not really my thing.

I mean griefing is such a 13y.o's activity in the first place, how hard would it be to get LL to jump on that accusation and banhammer you till they find out for sure? Not that hard obviously. I haven't verified, and until my couple of fav places tell me I have to I won't consider it.

Some have even had to do it 2 or more times. Very frustrating. I find this utterly fascinating. Can you confirm one very important point Marianne? Are these kid avvies ones for whom the online IDV did not work (Integrity unable to verify from their records)? I ask because: Either the anonymous online IDV is accepted by LL as verification of age or it is not. If someone accused of being underage can not use the online IDV to prove their age, then it logically follows that even an IDV-verified account will be banned if accused of being underage. If an accused account *has* to go manual, then it would be an open admission by LL that IDV is worthless. A separate WTF for me is the "Please expect manual verification to take 5-7 working days." Age Verification FAQ : https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/security.asp?questionID=3949What on earth do they do in that time? Employ firms of private detectives in whatever countries?? Send in the CIA?? Magic!! Submit the details for some dead celebrity to Integrity and you're verified in seconds. Submit copies of a raft of RL documentation to LL and it takes 5-7 working days. Perhaps the submitted ticket lingers in the support queue for 5-7 days and then takes 30 seconds for a support droid to review the documentation and unban the account? LL may beat their chests and say that they *have* to instantly suspend anyone accused of being underage 'just in case'. Given the clear potential for griefing here, they should be ready to reinstate the account the minute that verifying information is supplied. If not, why not?

Are these kid avvies ones for whom the online IDV did not work (Integrity unable to verify from their records)? Here's a handy article, guaranteed to add fuel... http://www.massively.com/2008/03/11/how-many-times-do-you-have-to-prove-it/The ones I personally know who did run into trouble has not used the online IDV. At least two of the ones I know were brits. I'm not sure if the IDV works for them? I know some non-U.S. countries were having issues. And yes, at least one was accused as a "griefing." Mari

I age verified a while ago. (Also a paid member with verified payment details). When I run into an age-restricted plot, it asks me to age verify, then takes me to the age verification page, which then tells me I'm already age verified, however the ban lines still persist. sounds like LL hasn't worked out the bugs on this issue yet.
