From: Chaos Bikcin I posted here to warn some people of an island and its turned into yet another flamming match. This is how I understand your forum life: 1. This time you were ripped off by someone, but your blaming the Island owners who did not rip you off - Thats you in the wrong. 2. You have a bad rep on the forums. 3. You seem to think the rules don't apply to you. 4. You are either unable to see it, or do it on purpose, but your words seem to annoy the hell out of people. 5. You are always so angry. 6. (Just for me) I dislike the way you write, I know I'm not grammar angel but seriously the almost TXTing like way your write is not professional and comes across like a kid. (and remember for some English is not their native tongue, it can be hard for them to understand when you write like that) 7. No one cares that you have enough money to buy and island or know a Linden. There are quite a few people here who own way more islands than you, and personally I know 5-6 Lindens. It's no big deal. 8. You don't research stuff and then it's other peoples fault when it blows up in your face. As I said, just my take on things, I'm not trying to be the big nasty geek, just trying to get you to see the error of your ways and perhaps then you will pull your head in and join the community instead of annoying it.

I honestly have no idea how people like this (the guy you're referring to, not you) get through day-to-day life. How do they keep a job? Friends? Do they ever realise how they look to the general public when they throw tantrums in front of everyone?

... and here's me, reading this thread, wondering... I thought we didn't have integral PvP in Second Life, that was World of Warcraft?

One thing I feel I ought to say in support of Chaos... having found this famed "Felonhall" (which is not the sim called Felonhall, curiously enough... I found the place through his profile picks), with Windlight and changing the environment settings to "Foggy" or "Blizzard", it really is quite atmospheric and really not the sort of place you'd want to hang around in real life if you had any choice (obviously I can't quickly "teleport home" in real life when danger appears).

I amazes me how well done Felony Hall is...(bumped into Brocolli there too) Its clearly a professional game design type build. Almost looks too good...but this is costly SL not Hellgate London or Half Life. Prims are expensive and unless it's a vanity build, rather then one that will function with this obviously ambitious style, it is going to cost lots more money. But there is a some kind of dicotomy here....that does not compute.

I went, and it really is fantastic. Problem is, he refuses to compromise on some of the details. Too bad he had to delete some of the town, because the shadow from a few too many planked over windows is not worth losing a chunk of the town, if you ask me.

I can totally understand his frustration over prims....but why spew out so much venom at real people on the forum? Does not compute.

Dearly Darlings,
It's a bit early for me...a sick puppy and trying to get ready for a dog show. However...does Grand Mamere need to bring out a shock collar?
You all have a lovely day...and stop the bickering!
Ever Yours,
Mrs. Showdog Tiger

From: Cristiano Midnight Hai guys, what's goin on in this thread? What happened to the no naming names policy? I'm submitting a JIRA that it be replaced with a "Insert the appropriate historical figure in it's place" feature.

Source: AR Action: Lock & LR Reasons: Private Dispute, Flaming, Trolling, TBYP Forum GuidelinesPrivate discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc. Think before you post – sometimes in the heat of a passionate discussion you may be tempted to say something that on reflection you will regret. If your words do more harm to the community than they might give you pleasure in the short term, reconsider posting. Flaming, Spamming, Trolling – Flaming (posting a message that is intended to incite anger or directly attack a person or persons), Spamming (multiple posts of the same topic or discussion), and Trolling (a post with an intentionally contrary opinion written with the intent of inciting or getting argumentative opinions) are strongly discouraged. If you think your post might be over-reactive, or that it might fall into one of these definitions, please reconsider posting.

Oh and folks, you don't need to AR a thread more then once. It just wastes my time processing all the duplicates. When I see an AR, I investigate the thread, not just the reported post.
