Don't buy or rent land at

Rich Island, i bought a plot of land from L**a Fr**cis via Brav**sn**er R**or and they said it was 2k L$ a month, what a ripoff tho, she returned all my objects and sent an IM saying "you were cheated". if u dont wanna lose 2k L$ then don't go near the place. sorry about naming names n all but 1 needs 2 know who 2 avoid doing buisiness with.

I'm trying 2 be helpful and warn people of this place, and they take your money and tell u they can't rent it 2 u cus they have other plans, my mate has just had the same problem with them aswell

no not at all, they are just what would appear to be like any other private rental island but actually steal peoples money. wouldn't make a difference if they were the most popular rental island in SL or not, aint gonna affect my crowd (its a tropical beach "paradise"

Yes, Chaos, but you should know by now that THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO NAME NAMES. This is a place for people to give answers and help. If you want to name names, go to SL Universe or other third party sites. FFS. Don't you learn? Or do you have selective "hearing"?

You bought "some" land, your not happy with the tier fee? Did you not look at the tier fee before hand?

How are we supposed to know whether your right, or just having sour grapes? 2k $L could be a good deal, or it could be an ok deal, etc.

For example, paying 2,000 $L a month for tier on a 16,384 parcel is a bargin.

I hate to say it, but so far it sounds very much a case of jumping in without doing you home work, buyer beware and all that.

That is a big trick that is preyed upon Island owners that have land for sale cheap AND allow land resell. Someone buys the $1 land, sets it for 1000L or 2000L as much as 4000L if time permits before the Estate owner realizes their land was purchased and no payments have been made to the rental box. I learned that lesson the hard way.

So now the OP is slandering the actual Island owners who DID NOT CHEAT HIM because he left the name of the Island posted. Nice.

1) Never pay rent for land for more than you can afford to lose. The sad fact is that there are people out there in for the quick L$, which is stupid as they coudl make more being legit.

2) When "buying" on an island, always keep in mind that you don't own the land. The island owner does. While it is bad buisness to kick off people, it is legal.

Both risks can be reduced by going with reputable landlords. Those that have been around for some time. Though this way can be unfair to newcommers in the landlord field. The other way is for the "deal". If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

no he said it was L$ 2k a month, then this women came along and said actually its 19k a month (dor 4000 odd sqm) but i wanted it for the extra prims for Felonhall, didn't need 2 use the actual land

Shutdown? I highly doubt it.

You're "Linden friend" does that and he/she will be setting a precident of LL stepping into a Resident-to-Resident dispute. That's a whole can of worms LL has been avoiding for years.

This is a case of "You said, He said.", so there's no way to prove either side.
