Bloodlines: I got raped! Help!

Hi

my av is very young, and was perhaps 2 days old, when it was bitten by somebody *without my consent* using some kind of bug in a pose cushion.

Now my soul is apparently owned by some weird spanish guy and I want it back! The only way I can get it back is to pay liquid designs 1000L!!!! This is absolutely outrageous and is tantamount to extortion.

Does anyone know who I can contact to sort this out? I intend to raise a big stink about this, because it is obviously unacceptable.

Many thanks for your help!

TP.

Sorry to hear of yet another Bloodlines victim.

Get the name of the person who made the sofa you sat on and AR them first of all. Then AR the person who bit you for biting/griefing without your permission, maybe. Without knowing all the details it's hard to say if it qualifies as abuse but LL can sort it out I guess.

If you wear a garlic necklace I think it will take you off their database but I am not sure.

Others here know more about it, I'm sure they will post, but in the meantime there are past Bloodlines threads you can search for here and read for more info.

good luck

(Do NOT pay the ransom - that seems extortionate.)

(BTW - while your thread title caught my attention, as intended - it does real rape victims a disservice, in my opinion. Being added to a spampire database is not rape!)

I would start by talking to your local minister, I hear the Catholic church has a whole department bases on demonic soul possession :)

How did the Catholic church get into another thread that has nothing to do with it?

Oh well...

According to Bloodlines FAQ you need to wear a garlic necklace to be removed from the database. Just wear it once, that should do.

I give great 'Cardinal' if anyone is in serious need of redemption.

Alternatively my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Uncle Ethen is a thoroughly dissolute vampire of the old school - an evening in his company and you will forget all about the Bloodlines fiasco. In fact you will forget everything that ever mattered (or so he says).

Don't give it another thought, Tanya. It is totally meaningless and has no effect on you whatsoever - except that you've been done, so others can't do the same to you. You're free from it now.

You don't have a soul in SL. All it means is that you've been tagged - as in the game, tag - just like many of us. They leave you alone after you've been tagged, so think of it as no longer having to put up with stupid requests to bite you.

Please correct me if I am wrong - but I was under the impression that being 'bitten' gave blanket permission to be 'animated' by other Bloodlines members without them requiring you to accept the request.
No. It just means that the person adds you to his/her score - nothing more than that.

This is really getting downright silly. My brother bit me sometime last year and he didn't tell me that my name appeared in the bloodlines database. I didn't find that out till I started reading the threads from here.

The garlic necklace I believe does not remove your name from their database. But I could be wrong. No I'm not too happy that my name appears in their database but seriously it hasn't harmed me either. I am happily married, running a moderately successful business and have great friends and family. The only thing it has done is prevented others from asking to bite me. So look at it as being vaccinated. As far as someone demanding payment for your soul to be returned is again silly. Take the suggestions mentioned in the previous posts.

The title of your thread is very misleading and I agree with Clarissa it does a disservice to those that had to endure such an act and trying to move on with their lives.

Being in their database is nothing. Anyone can set up a system that collects the names of everyone that they encounter and store them in a database. It's irrelevant.

I am a bloodlines player "slbloodlines.com" and there is no way to get bitten unless you accept. They have made a few modifications to it where your SL account must be 14 days or more in order to be actually bitten or you buy the hud (L$599) and accept. There is many huds out there giving slbloodlines a bad names such as "slthehunger" you are not required to give permission to be bittin and you only know if you where bitten if you buy the hud (L$700). We have been trying to get the creator of the hunger to make something to prevent this in the sim or for users to buy for free however he/she is not cooperative.

Pene(s)? You are handing out pasta? Nothing worse than offering someone a limp noodle :(

I have said this before why shoudl you have to Opt out of something you were never asked to opt in. If ppl want to be involved maybe you should have to wear an item to get on their list

It's my understanding (could be wrong though) that the garlic necklace only helps you 'stay' out of the database, to not be bitten if you've never been bitten. Not sure it will help OP at this stage. And, as we've discussed before, even that is 'buying in', when you aren't interested in their role play, at all. But yeah it's free and seems to work. I hope the OP DOES 'make a really big stink', time somebody did......good luck, OP. Do you own the cushion you sat on? If not do you know where you sat on it? If so, get a picture of it with the owner's name showing in the edit tool, in the picture. When you file your AR, be very clear and concise as to exactly what happened, and name names.

That and when you receive the box whether to accept being bitten or not, it should also say accepting this bite your name will be placed in the bloodlines data base.
