Hey there IS a legal way around gambling, its the same way pubs can have fruit machines in the UK
it would require alot of work, but you could have a game a great skill that seems like chance, the fruit machines in the UK do the same thing depending on how much as been put in/out of the machine, and how the player plays the machine, it seems random but is actually 100% pseado (spelling?) so it is not classed as gambling, this time i have done my reserch on SL gambling rules, refer to http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/08/09/anti-gambling-policy-update-faq/#more-1137 for more info
With a long script of complicated mathmatics to make sure that it is NOT random it is not then illegal as it is a game of skill, and not chance.

I seem to remember a post about it being daft to POST a method for getting around LL restrictions, on linden controlled forums...  and sign or no, non-random or no, they will get stripped, because most lindens answering reports of gambling are too busy to bother wading through someones heavily mathed out script to check if it's legit or not _____________________

It is because US law forbids US credit card companies and Paypal from paying money over to gambling sites. LL are not going to risk the CC companies refusing to deal with them if they think SL includes gambling, and the CC companies are not going to risk dealing with any site they think MIGHT have something to do with gambling. The law on fruit machines in UK pubs is supremely irrelevant to this issue. Gambling in SL is dead and it ain't coming back. |

Call me conservative when it comes to my money. But I worked hard for it, and I don't like throwing it away on things like gambling when the house is programmed to win. |
