I think I saw the egypt theme somewhere, it was a huge mall surrounded by the sphynx, etc. If I remember right they have a train running all over it.

I keep telling everyone: Blingtardia has got to happen, and THIS is your chance to make SL history!
You would provide a homeland for every cyber escort and internet-basement tough guy that ever walked... and add a cultural perspective to every lonely adfarm. Tug a heartstring every time anyone sees a banline or some particle flash... give this lost, misunderstood and denigrated culture some dignity! All they ever wanted was to be VIP gold... ![]() Respublica Blingtardia flag ~ "Vestum Epistola Appositus Hic" (Respublica Blingtardia flag ~ Your ad placed here!) _____________________

Then you don't have much to work with. oh wow I missed the no sex and no violence clause. All my examples are out then. Especially the cubicle farm. How about a sim sized version of candy land. -or- A beach resort from the 40's-50's (before bikinis) |

I'd love to see a non affiliated Sci Fi sim. maybe something like a Ben Bova Novel. Or a Cold War Espionage place, maybe East/West Berlin in the 60's.

Violence among my co-workers in the cubicles would be scary, sex among them would be horrifying. |

Look, the 503 thing has caused reading this entire thread to be nearly impossible, so sorry if this is a repeat of someone else's idea.
I remember in the 80's there was a series of science fiction anthologies that took place in an afterlife with different people throughout history interacting. So you could make your avatar look like Carl Sagan and walk around saying "billions and billions" and dance with Cleopatra. Mark Antony could get jealous and conspire with Richard Burton to win her back, etc. The role play possibilities are open ended. Edit: And spectators could come and chat with Henry Tudor or Edgar Allan Poe. |

Ever heard of 'Land of the Lost'? Combination SciFi and Volcano Land. Lizard people + dinosaurs. Dibs on the Chaka avatar... I'm such a TV geek, I can still sing the theme song to this. We'd need some Sleestack avatars too. |

How about a sim sized version of candy land. I already said Pie-town, but was ignored. How about Pietopia? Cubicle farm sounds awesome! Can have really annoying loud guy on the phone. Nerds with nerf guns. Office gossip areas. And the whole sim is ripe for camping. Yes, it only makes sense to bring the absolute worst possible aspects of RL into SL. It would be like an upgrade to a more familiar experience. _____________________

cool ideas
01-31-2008 17:36
There's a zone in WoW where theres a prehistoric land in the middle of a large crater...you have to walk down a loong pathway into the bottom and then there's an alter in the center of the crater..thats seething with lava..and a secret entrance.
It sort've made me feel like i was in another world. ![]() I loved Land Of the Lost...that toy boat going over the waterfall got me everytime. ~Lana Tomba |

SO -No Sex -No Violence -Role Play experience -Covers Tier Problems -Casinos banned -Banks banned So the roleplay area will have to include rentals of some sort, be it shops or residents. |

plenty of ideas, but im afraid ill have to finish my current project first.
Sometimes i really wonder why SL is so void of imagination, when its essentially an infinite environment only limited by the mind... |

How about Milliways, from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe? That'd be pretty amazing, especially if you could get the whole universe-ending-explosion effects. You could even have the big car park with various spaceships... maybe people could buy them?

I have an idea of building (for a sim owner...not for me) a volcanic island with flowing lava streams and a working smoke stack coming from the volcano pit (with lava down in it) and lagoons all around. Giving it an old world look and feel. Polynesia or Hawaii around 200-300 years ago. Mythology come to life, mermaids sea monsters ECT. I have the sketch all worked out and will be scanning it and uploading it to give an idea of what I mean. As far as RP, it could be a loosely written to resemble Mutiny on the Bounty and Pitcairn’s Island, but volcanic... any takers? So long as the Pitcairn theme doesn't follow local practices ... since sexual ageplay is banned ... (Too poor taste? Based on events at least!) _____________________

a HUGE Barnum and Bailey "Under the BIG TOP" SIM..full with arena and three rings...or even a safari sim...with a monorail traveling thru wooded areas looking down on the natural habitat of animals. (These two ideas are easily achievable since the advent of sculpties.
I've seen the best elephants and horses and giraffes and all type of zoo/circus animals since sculpties came out. ~Lana Tomba |

It could be one side all fun and light and maybe have a darker, seedier side... Oh, forgot the PG rating. LOL Still a great idea! _____________________
