From: Qie Niangao In my experience, looking like a cheap b*tch is very expensive. If you've achieved it with freebies, you've won! Best post of the day! Week!

To the OP, the answer is flat out no.. what matters is the quality of what you wear and whether or not you're happy with it, not where you get it or how much it cost you.

From: 3Ring Binder if i like it, i'll wear it. some of my most favorite attire was acquired via lucky chairs.
having said that, i do also believe there is entirely too much free stuff out there. I must say that now that I'm starting to find my way around and am actually spending real L$'s on things, I _always_ go to the shops that gave me freebies in my first few days before going anywhere else, so in my case freebies seem to be effective marketing. Just like IRL. Cheers, Newbie Jackie.

I have to echo the above post. Freebies, hunt gifts, group gifts, etc. are the best way for me actually see a designer's work. I find myself going back again and again to some of the first shops I ever visited when I was new and 'poor'. Also have to add that I haven't found cost to be any indication of quality at all.

I find myself going back again and again to some of the first shops I ever visited when I was new and 'poor'. Also have to add that I haven't found cost to be any indication of quality at all. it's not.. it all depends on the talent of the artist and not the price.. when i first had gotten here a lot of the freebies that were out there were from a lot of talented artists that were giving away things they hd in stock and wanted to make room for their newer work or they wanted their work to be seen so people would look them up.. some just did it for free and never opened up shops.. those things were just as good if not better.. now with the population and so much information on how to make clothes and skins and everything else..a lot of great talent has surfaced.. there was a time when malabu was the best skin out there that was free because of a bad permissions mistake..so it was put out there for free.. it is a CS skin..almost 3 years later and the only skins i really wear are CS skins.. i think a creator that puts out good freebies is gonna get a good return on thier efforts in time..

Wearing free stuff does not make you a cheap B... however, the other person's comments to you makes them a rude B...
