Not tired of shopping, tired of spending the lindens TO shop.
I probably through making major purchases since the house is all furnished. I have tons of clothes. The only major purchase I can see me making this week is those stiletto shoes at Moody's. You know the one with the pretty toes. I plan to buy the ones I think are 6K. To me that kind of money is like buying a sl house.

From: HoneyBear Lilliehook It is...and I'm not all that impressed with them I went to the other place that was recommended in the other thread (I can't think of the name) and I really liked those shoes. Only problem is they don't offer more of a selection. I purchased the wedge ones multi pack and the black dress pair. They only come in 2 colors black and red. I wish that style came in multi-pack or color change. Moody offers I believe the color change. Not to derail the thread, but if someone recommend another place I would appreciate it or im me inworld.

Making clothing does not require a lot of computer power. I can often make clothes on my more marginal computer and then upload them (texture clothes or textures for prim clothes) without a blink. Remember too much detail does not render anyway. Here is a very easy clothing tutorial. http://nicolaescher.com/tutorials/creating-your-first-shirt.phpShe uses Photo Shop. I use GIMP which is freeware http://www.gimp.org I also just make a separate image of the mesh and use that regularly. As for sandboxes, the prim chart is available in many locations that are a lot quieter than Natrona. I recommend the sandbox at New Berlin (Search New Berlin) and you'll find the sandbox by the school. There's another good Sandbox at Wonderful Denmark and a third is the Dutch Zandbank (search zandbank). The German sandbox definitely has the prim chart.

Um, J's has a "triple belted" pair you can buy that changes to 3 different styles. I own them in the black and the white, but there were many colors. The sign is so big you almost miss them but they're to the right as you walk in the door.

Glad I asked again before dropping 6k.

It's like photography. If your screen can't render the graphics nicely, how do you know you got the clothing done right? I can't see how you ever really know the shading, textures, etc. were done the way you want them without a decent graphics card. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've been told otherwise by many.

Perhaps it was the store I went to because the ones in the pics from the Beautiful Feet thread I purchased in the black and the wedges. Does anyone have a url to J's main store? The store I purchased mine appears to only feature a limited line of J's shoes. That store also sold weapons too (nothing against weapons) and after looking at some feet in sl I suppose some feet can be categorized as weapson of mass distruction. Thanks guys for all your help!!!

LOL Sable, I'll take hugs anywhere, anytime, for any reason, so thanks It sounds like you've been to that J's before, so just be sure to cam back a little when you go in the door and look to your right. The triple-belted shoes are available in several pastel colors, and several regular colors. And by buying the triple belted, you're getting 3 shoes in one. Buy the fat pack and it's tootsie heaven

I got one pair of J's shoes and loved em so much I went back, bought another, then brought my friends in and bought shoes for them too. I like the ones that only come in red and black also, b/c they have the toe ring and the triple-strap ones don't. More colors would be nice there.

I love my black ones too and they also have them in wedges with the different colors and the toe rings. Prior to what Honey told me, I thought that is all that they have. I agree I wish that style came in more colors other than red and black. Just yesterday my hubby asked don't they come in white and I said no only red and black. He asked well what about those 6k shoes you were talking about and I said babe seriously I just hate to drop that kind of money. After looking at those pictures again in the Beautiful Feet thread I would've been very upset dropping that kind of money and my feet looking like that.

From: Brenda Connolly I don't get tired of shopping per se, as that is how I explore the grid. But I am a bit tired of buying as I have all I need and then some, and nothing wears out. While my log in time has greatly decrreased for RL reasons, my spending when I am inworld is very sporadic. I did go an a mini spree the other day and managed to drop around 5K on stuff, but that was my first purchases in about a month. On one hand the 2 or 3 hours a week I'm inworld mean I don't really login and just idly sit around, but my contributions to the SL economy have fallen off sharply. My head was nodding more and more as I read this. It used to be that I'd read the fashion blog and every day, there'd be one or more items that screamed for me to jump inworld and get them. I'm not sure if it's because a) I've simply done a heckuva lot of shopping in the past year, and/or b) I've become a more...discriminating shopper, but with the exception of holiday gifts/decorations and furniture for my house, I've not done an outrageous amount of clothes shopping in quite some time.

From: Elora Lunasea So, lately I've got this sense of ennui about SL and find myself not logging in as much, or kind of wandering around not quite knowing what to do. I'm at this place too, although mine is more relationally-related, leading to not wanting to log in as much and then feeling kind of down. As for shopping, I never cared for clothes shopping RL or SL and as Brenda said, I have everything I *need* in SL. I enjoy "gadgets" but I have all of those I need too. My fledgling business has done well, but I haven't put any marketing time into it lately due to the above and trying to make a (get this) men's business shirt to graduate from my Gimp class. Never designed clothes in my SL and a buttoned-down shirt is what I have to do. That lil project led me to drink...lol. (And still haven't finished it.) Now I'm trying to rethink what I want as my main store. I want a Cape Cod theme/store...to go with the "attic" theme. My partner built a really nice one, but not sure it is spacious enough inside....ok, I'm starting to ramble. Yes, I'm tired of shopping too.

I tired to follow the Mermaid's tut and she recommend the LoopRezz for the base of the hair- but the LoopRezz thingie I had made a huge mess teh two time I tried to use it- so I use Vint's instead... Vint's apparently is THE tool de rigeur for making furry caterpillars! Who knew??? So.. I kept the resulting critter- which, btw, looks abit like this: And may turn it into a ponytail...

From: Jesse Barnett OK I am lost. I step away from the forums for a few hours and the "I am tired of shopping thread" turns into the "Shopping thread"???????????????? No, no...the solution to everyone's shopping blahs is clear. CARTEL SHOPPING TRIIIIIIIIPPP!!! I suggest this coming Saturday, January 31, at 9:00 am SL time. I will cross post this to a new thread. Comment there, please, NOT here. We need to know: 1. Is this a good time for you? If not, what date/time works? 2. Where do you want to go? I suggest a potpourri...one hair place, one skin place, one animation or dance place, one men's place, one shoe place, one clothing store.
