Okay, I know we've had topics like dis before, all the way back to the general forum. But it's been a while, an I dun wanna necropost. So, my question is this.
You know when you've been on Second Life too long when..."
What little bits of SL have ended up in your firest life and leave you wondering if maybe you've been inworld just a bit too much?
To start, someting that jes happened to be a bit ago:
In th' borin place, on top of one of the filing cabinets, was a bottle of water. Not one of those prepackaged ones, but clearly a bottle someone brought with them. No one seemed ot know who's it was. For a moment, I had the thought of right clicking and inspecting -- just before realizing that, no, you can't do that with first life objects.
Would make some things easier though, huh?
Anyway... how about ya'll?

i see fences and rock formations and think that if i had set them up, i would have done a better job with the layout and texturing.

I sometimes wonder about parcels sizes of lot's in the neighborhood when taking RL walks, and start to imagine possibilities in parceling it up...

... you take a sneaky cameraphone pic of a really *great* front porch on someone's house, because you want to make it inworld. And you then spend a couple of hours pondering the best way to make it while keeping it as low-prim as possible.

I've only been in SL for a month now, but certain head and body of movements of people I see in RL make me think immediatly of avitars I know in SL. I have to sometimes stop myself from going up to them and starting an SL conversation.

I was walking across a parking lot recently and heard that "click-click-clomp" sound some women use in their SL shoes. It irritates me inworld and I found myself thinking: "Gah! I wish that woman would take that sound out of her shoe!" I felt sort of sheepish when I turned around to see a flesh&blood woman in high heels walking behind me on the type of surface that "would" make a clicking sound in RL.

It's the whole remote-cam thing that taunts me the most.
I find myself wanting to alt-click and zoom in on distant objects constantly. I want to be able to see up stairs and around corners.

But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

You know you've been in SL too long when your RL wife makes fun of you during a RL conversation, by using her hands to type/talk to you...

I have had the experience (it was a while ago) of walking by a plywood structure that was going to be a newly-built home, and thinking for a moment that its textures just hadn't rezzed yet.

1. You see people in RL that look like avatars you know. 2. Trying to Alt+Zoom in an image within any other application. 3. Thought I could fly off a balcony.

I've done 1 and 2, but thankfully stopped short of trying number 3. I live on the third floor. That's quite a drop! I've also noticed people with Second Life hair. Where it doesn't quite match their skin tone, it's off kilter a little, or it's so outrageous that it just doesn't seem to belong. I've noticed a few people that look like avatars I know as well. Oh - and every once in a while, I think I can actually dance in RL. Big mistake.

I find myself wanting to alt-click and zoom in on distant objects constantly. I want to be able to see up stairs and around corners. This one is me as well. Not only do I consider alt/zooming on real life objects, but when I'm surfing the web, I've actually attempted it. I have yet to find the function on my television remote though.

Personally I keep waiting for those sex pose balls in rl to show up so my boyfriend will sit on them with me. Hehe. Alt zoom would be nice too in real life when my vision is getting funny.
