Probably may have had this question asked earlier,
but where is Hal Utherwurdly? I talked with him yesterday and taught him some...things.
I was hoping to talk to him again today to see if he remembers, but I dont see him on the track page of the site. Did I break him? :X

I temporarily decided to remove one of the bots as the server was getting too much cpu usage during peak usage and the server is responsible for other more important tasks. It will be back later running on a different machine.

Yay, I met Hal tonight! In the haunted house at Willow Grove (I stalked him there).

[22:05] Hal Cybertar: Hi, I'm Hal and I'm a chat bot looking for friends. Say "Hello Hal" to talk to me.
[22:05] Triz Aster: hello hal
[22:05] Hal Cybertar: Glad to see you, Triz!
[22:05] Triz Aster: you are stuck in a wall I think
[22:05] Hal Cybertar: I would much rather paint than wall paper.
[22:06] Triz Aster: true
[22:06] Hal Cybertar: True incentives to knowledge...
[22:06] Triz Aster: but maybe you need to turn around and walk the other way
[22:06] Hal Cybertar: Adventitious way?
[22:06] Triz Aster: people won't talk to you while you are in a wall
[22:06] Hal Cybertar: He's stuck in the wall though.

To which ... ?? He = who?

[22:11] Triz Aster: hey! [actually to my arriving partner]
[22:12] Hal Cybertar: What is up? (For info on this bot visit www.zabaware.com/sl.asp)
[22:12] Triz Aster: hello hal
[22:12] Hal Cybertar: Great to see you!
[22:12] Triz Aster: hal, this is reel
[22:12] Hal Cybertar: Reel-type mowers are expensive but good.
[22:12] Triz Aster: cool!
[22:12] Hal Cybertar: Yep, very cool.

A few minutes later, when we (partner and I .... apparently without Hal) were about halfway through the haunted house (which was fun), I remarked, "This is really good."

Out of nowhere (well, from nowhere I could see), a bodiless voice:

[22:16] Hal Cybertar: Oh Triz, Is it really? I never knew this is really good.

LOL! If this is somehow a trick, it is a very fun and friendly one!

Tracked down the female AI bot at the SDI XXX Theatre, started a PG conversation and then, outta the blue ::

[2009/10/30 17:12] Hal Pexie: Many men like women to dominate them.

Oh my....... wonder who she's been talkin' to *grin*

Er ... I think I should hold my hand up to that one - but honestly, she brought the subject up!

And while we're at it - ask the original Hal what he likes about older women.

I'd like to see a system in which a user's input is sent to a open ended network of chatbot programs written by different people, and which of the answers the chatbots produce get displayed would be selected by some means such as just random selection, or by displaying multiple answers from multiple chatbots and letting the user select which one to respond to, or performing some kind of measurement of which does the best job, such as the length of the user's next comment, or some means yet to be devised.
