From: Michael Bigwig Useless post. So I'll create one too. We have seen the term 'Ginko'd' develop ingame, when posts get closed, it should be known as 'Michael'd'.. you have a knack of turning posts into some sort of personal crusade to get everyone to agree with everything you say.... Thats what I love about life... I make my own choices... and you make yours... have a great one.

Are you telling me I'm the ONLY one that has negative, flame-worthy posts that try to get others to understand and 'see it my way?' A lot of the big-posters here ALL have useless malicious posts...most are passive aggressive to their core. Seriously, reread the previous paragraph until you understand the truth in it. There is no denying that we are all apt to flame from time to time. He without sin can cast the first stone. So don't blame. I was just stating that bashing me just to bash me (which you did) was a "useless post." Why don't you let go of your grudge people...we need to give each other a chance to befriend each other...not hate each other. Communities are not formed to fight...they are formed to bond.

From: JessicaNichol Kappler You my friend are 100% wrong here. The land owner has every right to choose whether or not voice is enabled on their land. It is after all THEIR land, they paid good money for it. I currently have voice enabled on my land, but also have the right to disable it at any time. You still have the ability to use voice in SL anytime you want on any sim that you want by using a 3rd party product such as Skype. You my friend are 100% right here.

From: Ciaran Laval Well I'm enjoying it so far in the main. It can be useful when you're having a three way conversation. I'm still awaiting the annoyance of being in a sim where too many people are using it but so far it's been fun.
Text chat is still far more important to me though. You didn't have the accent I was expecting ...

From: SqueezeOne Pow The conclusion? An overwhelming majority of residents don't give a shit about the forums! I'd say this is true with a twist; An overwhelming majority of residents don't even know the forums exist. Ask the next 10 people you meet in-wrold of their opion on the forums. I did when a friend told me about this. I was shocked that people are in a virtual platform over the internet, yet do not even know about the forums, the blog, or even teh SL website past the point of signing up and DLing the client. ~Jessy

From: Cheyenne Marquez And chances are pretty darn good that you will be in those threads also complaining about whatever that "something new" is that people are complaining about.
Seriously, why not just let people be and ignore those threads that bother you so much?
Religiously, you are in every complaint thread complaining about other people complaining.
And there is a very good chance that if anyone were to ask which name do you recall most about that annoying complaint thread, it would unanimously probably be yours. I"m not complaining. I'm making fun of you. You just don't get it half the time!

In response to the actual question: I have it available on some land, but not all. Not in my club, as I feel that it is an inappropriate place to have voice - too many people talking. If you want to use voice, you can still use it over IM, even on land without voice enabled.
As for the rest of my land: yes. It's useful. It makes explaining things to people who speak English a lot faster. I can hear tone and inflections, and can better pick up when people are joking. Plus it allows me to free up my hands to do other things, like building and editing. I have come to love voice. But I don't use it with everyone. I type by default.
