I have a friend (yes, a friend *L*) who visited a clinic in SL. Apparently, she sat in a "chair", not realizing the "gun" was loaded. Oops.

She decided to keep the baby... went through the two weeks (I think?) of pregnancy, and one day (that's right, just one day) before the baby was due, the server crashed and she lost the baby. She was devestated.

True story.

If some asshat ever sent me a notecard saying that I was pregnant they'd receive one back from me saying "I don't think so! I have a coat hanger and I'm not afraid to use it." It's one thing to talk to someone first & agree on it but to throw a notecard like that on someone out of the blue? Not a chance in hell would I go through with it!

A friend of mine got some device that he wears that will make someone pregnant....it sounded like the woman would be unaware it is possible.....until she gets informed later.....maybe they do that via notecard....so there is a bit of a surprise element there. Is that what happened?

There was no difference in me saying that and others saying the word abortion. The act and end result is the same. Abortions have been performed in many ways through time and around the world and not just in squeaky clean clinics. And it's not any ruder than someone that would send a notecard saying that you were pregnant without talking to you about it first.

i think perhaps a lot of people have accustomed themselves to believing that abortion is something other than what it is, and feel provoked when they are reminded of what abortion is.

and no, that does not mean i am down for a discussion on abortion. both sides have heard the others' case hundreds of time elsewhere, and nothing said here will change anyones mind.
