From: Phil Deakins But they do sell funiture and plenty of it. What makes you think they don't? Either that or they have "false" prims there that are set for sale and described as furniture. Hmm, I'll have to double check next time I'm online but I'm almost 100% sure the one in Nieun is a free sex club because I keep getting ARd for filling up the sim. Maybe furniture is just way more popular than I thought it was.

Maybe furniture is just way more popular than I thought it was. I meant the one in Guksu - the one ranked high in the All seach. I haven't looked at the one from the Places tab search because it makes sense if it's ranked high, due to the club traffic and the word "furniture" somewhere in the parcel's description or name. Which reminds me of a problem that needs a jira. I haven't tested it, but I often see the results of it. When an item that's set to show in search is sold (a copy of it), the buyer receives it set to show in search. If they rez it on a parcel that's also set to show in search, the item is listed in the html page. It's usually no big deal, but the copy should have that setting changed to not show in search.

Traffic won't help that one (Guksu) but definitely the other one where the word "furniture" must be in the parcel's name or description, even though the place doesn't sell furniture.

Phil i was at your store probably a week ago at the most..all i saw were like 3 bots and they were not clumped together or anything like that. they were just sitting on different pieces of furniture..more like display models..
i looked on the map and really i didn't see any clumps of bots either..
i mean how many bots do you have??because really 3 or 4 bots to me is not really gaming the system..
Also i didn't go there to see how many bots you had..i wanted to see your products because a friend was looking for furniture for their club..so i thought of you and Marcels places..

The ones in his store are demonstrating his products. His army of bots is high in the sky. BTW, Phil, I was too curious yesterday and tried to fly up and see your bot city, but once I finally got up there I was booted. Only one rezzed before I was thrown out. I hope someday you'll give tours. It is, I'm sure, one of the splendid wonders of SL.

All you need to be about the middle of Page.1 in Places search for ters like Furniture / Houses / Homes are 20 bots 24/7. 20 bots would give traffic of 28800
That number seems to stay under the AR radar on mainland, and is nothing to a private island. Phil says he runs 22 bots - a traffic contribution of 31680 and accounting for about 25% of his sales.
Without the bots, his current traffic would be about 4000, based on what he has posted. That's high enough to get to the bottom of Page.1 for "low prim" It would put him at about position 30 on page.1 for "low prim furniture", but only on page 4 or 5 for "furniture".
The bots boost him up in position 5 for "low prim furniture", position 10 for "low prim", position 39 for "furniture".
It could be that a lot of people might initially search for "furniture" rather than "low prim furniture". I would guess that the difference between being on page.1 as opposed to page.4 would be considerable. Intuitively, being in the top few on page.1 should pull in a lot of eyeballs. Getting mid-way down page.1 seems to require only(!) 20 bots for many vanilla terms.
The odds are that if someone has even half-decent stuff on offer, and 20 bots, they will make significant sales. How many people will TP to more than 10 / 30 / 30 places in quick succession in search of something? So: 20 bots, some acceptable stuff and you make money. No bots, really-really great stuff, and you take your chances. The numbers will be against you though.
Right now, the #1 for many related term is Moda in Echo Valley sim. Their traffic is 132,230 On Map, I see 75 dots right now. The sim on the Southern boundary - Echo Islands has 91 dots. I did a few random peeps at Map in the past few hours. Those dots are piled up unmoving
The dots in both sims are clustered near the common sim boundary on the western side of the sims. Maybe they are circulating between the sims, maybe not. Maybe with that many logins, some are getting dropped and relogging.
80 or 90 bots would keep them at the top of most searches for anything, even "sex"
However, the difference between a private island with 80 to 90 bots and a mainland parcel with 20 bots is only half of page.1 in search.

I had a look at the bot boxes in Echo Valley and Echo islands. They are up at 4000m in full-bright-glow boxes that make to impossible to see them or read their names - unless you use radar. So shy!

I have 6 models in the store that are there for people to try the animations with. 2 are in the seating section, on a cuddle sofa, for people to use the sofa's menu and see the models perform the animations. The other 4 are in cubicles at the end of the beds section. Again, they are for people to use the bed menus and see the anims. There's a couple to watch perform, a single female and a single male, plus an empty bed for customer couples to try the anims discretely. All those are out of normal sight, in cubicles at the end of the beds section. I don't think anyone objects to those. The ones that a few people object to are grouped together in the NW corner, at over 4000m. Including the models, I have 22 avatars there.

I hope someday you'll give tours. It is, I'm sure, one of the splendid wonders of SL. I do give tours, Bradley I showed them to Anya just a couple of days ago and I turned the security off for it. I'm happy to show anyone who wants to see. They are in the sim corner, so there are 3 sims to fly up in that allow you to get close to the bots, and they do get visitors. The security isn't there to prevent people from seeing. It's to prevent people from interfering with them - yes, there are such dickheads about. Most people who fly up to look don't interfere at all, but some used to.
