Why LL is lame:

- They don't act enough against copybots.
- They don't enforce their own rules regarding alt abuse and gaming search.
- They don't listen to their customers.

Why LL is NOT lame:

- They created a wonderful and unique world.

That they have absolutely no idea how to run. That is lame.

There's nothing lame about that, imo. I see no reason why an AO should be in the viewer and, therefore, no reason why it should occur to anyone at LL.
Because you actually need sim-side support to do a proper AO and LL is the only one who can make that happen. You can use a scripted or viewer-only AO but they're both still "hacks" in the sense that they have to detect and stop the default animations and start a custom one.

The ideal situation would be one where the sim simply plays the proper animation for a given state (the viewer actually is responsible for playing *some* animations - like the fidgetting ones).
