Again I completely agree, I cannot think of a single circumstance that warrants it. If I want to be with someone for any reason, then I ask them and get them to tp me or give me a LM. Just tp'ing in is the height of rudeness in my opinion. |

I have to agree that having some sort of Offline/privacy mode would be great. When I am creating something I need to stay focused, and that ding is really annoying. I cannot use busy mode as it has other "features" that could cause problems. What I really don't understand is why we cannot have at least a much better "busy" mode. One that does not ding and show IM's coming in, one that does not auto-refuse inventory transfers, but one that will let you set a personal messge.
This is done by every other chat program out there.. I do not see why it is so hard to implement here. I would love to see a Busy mode like most of those others have, with various options and custom messages. A true "offline" mode would be great too, but I will settle for a nice quiet "busy" mode.
I think the worst is when I am having an intimate moment with my partner, it does not even have to be sex, we could be dancing or just deep in conversation.. It becomes very annoying to have to keep telling people "Sorry I am busy right now, can I get back to you later?" The current busy mode does not work for that, as my partner and I ARE talking in IM's.. A simple mode where if I open an IM to someone that it is normal, but incoming IM's and group notices are hidden until I do a "show all". And a simple true "offline" will do all that just fine. Any IM's would go to email, any inventory offers would pop up when I go back to "online" status.
