Strip club on PG land close to mine

Well I've just been back to my land and the club is on mature land so I'm glad I didn't AR it as I'd have felt might silly. My PG plot is on the edge of the sim and their club is on the edge of the sim.

It would actually make sense to have a PG continent, to avoid this problem. Why should you, or your guests/customers, have to look at adult material right next door just because you happen to be on the edge of a sim? Surely it would make more sense to put all the PG sims together to give those who choose to be in a PG enviroment proper protection from the rest of us?

Yeah not to mention someone might see Boobies.

The owner of said boobies will not be legally liable from any tort action on the part of the party of the third part for exhibiting the party of the first parts boobies. While the party of the fifth part is allowed to shake her so-called booty around in a suggestive manner, but only if the party of the sixth part agrees to keep his unit from touching the alleged booty.

One couldn't buy something back unless it was for sale, but as you stated, why would you. About the only thing the creator could do is set up a listen for chat from the creator, and de-rez the build from a command, but, the buyer would loose the item if it was a no copy item. Not a paticularly smart thing to do, as customers would get miffed if the content creator was chasing them around judging the usage of the item. A building creator would have zero liability concerning abuse.

Well I think you make a fair point. Alternatively they change the land so a PG sim is at a different terraform level to the mature sim next door.

Doesn't it state in the TOS that even if you are on a mature sim you can not display anything broadly offensive that can be viewed easily from a PG sim?

I think such a rule is unenforceable, the Lindens would be way too busy to chase those down, but just curious if I'm correct.

I'm sure that what's going on there is just shocking. You should go in 5 different times just to be sure, and verify that every single time the behavior is abominable. Take 30 or so photos to prove it.

Sorry, I don't mean to make fun of you, Ciaran, but I'm just trying to visualize how you could AR something like that and keep a straight face.

I have wondered about this, since I allow and encourage my residents to "express themselves" in any way they want, and my Mature beach sits on the edge of a PG Linden Ocean. It's not possible for anyone to live in the PG Sim, but sensitive eyes could float by and catch sight of parts waving at them. But at least most of them match.

That's what they say -- don't take my word for it, go look at all the Linden Oceans surrounding Nautilus. It labels them PG in the map view too.

A Linden once told my friend who owned mature land next to a PG sim that very thing. But that was back when you find a Linden to talk to.

What sim is this in? Other people may be willing to go and AR them as well, it sometimes can speed up the action by LL to have more AR's.

Well, I went there and checked it out.. didnt look like strip club, wasnt called a strip club, didnt have dancer poles... then, I checked the owner's profile picks, and there it was.. advertised as a strip club. So, I bothered to IM the owner and let them know they can't have a strip club in a PG sim, and about 20 min later I got a response when he logged on (he was off at the time of the IM). He told me that it's not a strip club, because he realized that it's in a PG sim, and, is in the process of selling off the land so he can buy in a mature sim. Turns out 1/2 the land was in one sim, and 1/2 in another, and he didnt realize the other sim was PG (the other is mature). So, I wouldnt bother ARing him since there's absolutely nothing offensive in the build at all whatsoever, no dancers, no dance poles, no mature content at all. He was extremely nice to me, very willing to explain the situation, very willing to admit his mistakes (buying PG and buying across sim lines), and is in the process of rectifying the situation. So, the lesson being, before you go off ARing people over nothing (which, essentially this was, since there was zero offensive material on display), maybe try IM'ing them and asking (nicely, like I did), and generally (but not always), you can resolve a situation without lobbing another AR at LL. Everyone complains about how long it takes LL to respond to ARs, yet, have no problem ARing someone who doesnt deserve it.
