It sucks, but atleast you can log in. All I get is a "Login failed", even after I reinstalled and updated to this new viewer. Cleared cache, checked port, checked router...nothing...

No hon, I'm not sure that anyone else is having troubles... I just logged in fin. Take a look at your internet connection? no its fine, i have like AIM, Yahoo. and MSN and 5 windows of firefox running, though i don't that that really does anything |

This is not the "Kiboe starts a new thread every time he feels like bitching about SL" forum. The first post was just a random complaint. The second post asks question with an obvious answer: If it tells you that you need a new client, then you do. If it doesn't, then you don't. We can't fix the servers for you, and we can't even help figure out the problem on your end because you don't provide any useful information. Have you cleared cache? Have you manually deleted the cache folder? Have you deleted the SL config folder and reinstalled the software? Are you connecting over a wireless connection (even if it's only within your house)? Can you connect from another computer? Can you connect using a different account? Can you connect from a different location on a different network? Have you tried connecting to a different region? Have you tried downloading the beta client and logging on there? Have you tried using the Nicholas Beresford client? Have you tried submitting a support ticket or contacting support through Live Chat? |

LL are offering a little programme somewhere that lets you trace your packet so that you can see where it gets lost. This was mentioned a few months ago when there was this huge ISP problem. _____________________

This, in turn means, that the packet never gets as far as the server. This, in turn, means that the packet is lost somewhere between your computer and the server, resulting in the fact that the server does not get your packet since it has already been lost by the time it should have reached the server. You might want to try and trace the long journey of your packet. It might actually be helpful in finding out what is happening to it. It should also keep you busy for a while and stop you from opening even more repetitive threads. _____________________
