Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Well the rolling restarts were planned but I tp' out of a region that was about to restart and found myself being logged out too.

I kept getting the "Grid offline, monkey banging stuff" screen on the website randomly all weekend, even WHILE I was logged in and trotting happily around the grid.

Just happened to me too - couldn't tp anywhere after getting the region restart message, then I was logged out.

Edit: and can't get back in :(

They 'planned' this and it is on the SL Start Screen before you log in. It's execution was a bit chaotic though. The region I ran to to avoid the BIG NOTHING quickly filled up and then was given a 5 minute restart warning. We were quickly running out of sims to hide in. The map stopped working so we took to foot and were finally done in when the last sim crossing threw us off world. Now I cannot log back in. It was a good fight.

[UPDATE 1 Oct, 07 - 12:52 pm]

The rolling restart is a little more aggressively scheduled this time than in times past. Logins for some residents may be slow until the restarts are finished. Also, the nifty trick of wave-jumping the restarts by TP’ing to the Northwest is unfortunately no longer supported - the restart order is no longer dependent upon map location.

In exchange for this inconvenience, the restart should be finished much sooner.

Well I can't TP anywhere, textures aren't loading, can't upload any either, and there's a whole load of empty space around me, transparent regions everywhere, but other than that everything seems fine :p

Looks like they restarted all of our sims. Also, I got booted from one of the sims three times within a four hour period. Each time, the sim being down for a period of time after. Of course it had to be our commercial sim. Not like we want to conduct business or anything =\

In addition to this, all of our sims have weird texture patches on the land. Something is seriously borked.

I have absolutely NO messages on the sign on page...just my name, log in info, the sl landsape....none of the usual messages. But after a second try, I did get on this time.
Still can't fly, but that's a separate issue...my flying controls evidently are broken.

I personally liked the predictable pattern of restarts. I'd prefer it over random restarts, even if it is slower :(.

Look on the bright side everyone. At least this isn't happening on a Friday. Not that it really matters that much whether a Linden is in the office or not.

The grid seems to be crashing all over the place. It's not rolling restarts, there's no warning.

I wanted to log in to continue working on my kayak animation project that was going well before lunch. I log in and there I am RUTHed in a vertical stack of about 15 ruths, in a strange sim UNDERWATER. Getting SPAMMED with a landmark to some store. It was horrible.

The Sim where I work has been down forever. Definately not part of the rolling restart. All the employees are scattered around the grid with a host of different problems going on.

My home Sim was down also. I was transferred over to Korea4 with a lot of people who had the same thing done to them. If you look at the maps there are scattered Sims down all over the place.

I've given up and have logged out for the day. I think the aggressive restart may have been a bit too aggressive. :D

On the bright side, my plan to build a road to the moon using Ruthed avatars is coming along quite nicely. :)

I may have to agree, Brad. It's been an hour and I still can't get in. So, you wanna go shopping or something?
