I think I would have been non-plussed at receiving a spoon, no matter how beautifully carved. They're gorgeously done, of course,

but I would have rather my man came to me with something more practical, after all those hours of sitting.
Apparently now you can get battery-driven ones.

Pep (Would that qualify as more practical?)

Compromise? That's like having your head in the oven and your feet in the icebox.

Pep (Another word, like "gullable", that isn't found in my dictionary.)

Why? Did I misspell it, like 'gullable'? (likes seagulls) Or you just don't like the implications of it?

Ah! You mean that you don't understand what the Love Spoon is *really* for?

Pep (wonders if that thread about BDSM been locked yet?)

I absolutely *hate* the concept of compromise.

Pep (It satisfies no-one and alienates everyone; solutions should be determined by the strong.)

Think of the splinters!

One wonders if the BDSM crucifiers are a splinter faction...

/me checks in the Kama Sutra for "double thumbs up".

Pep (Sounds reasonable, though.)

Damn it. You were supposed to keep quiet about that. There are only so many to go around.

You possibly aren't rating the same characteristics that Laurin and Punkin are; bet you're seeing a whole different side of Belgian men.

Pep (The only Welshman there negotiated a transfer to the teaching staff and spent considerable breakout time practising personal negotiations with the only female Canadian there; not to worry you Scylla, but she was from Toronto.)

Hang on . . . the ONLY Welshman? Do you mean . . .

OMG!!!! THAT WAS YOU??????

This was someone who was married to a friend of mine in rl.

Pep (I had rescued her from one violent relationship, but it was from the frying pan into the fire.)

No, no, no, Belgium is the land of chocolate and beer and little blue smurfs. Our men are wonderful. And Treasure was right, I was thinking of certain attributes of a high level kick boxer...but not in terms of violence ;)

Nah, you're safe. Actually, through pretty much all of the 80s I was a minor anyway, so you'd better HOPE I don't have pics . . .

I find the Irish men either intrigued and having no idea what to actually DO about it or scared to death until they have a few pints too many and start thinking of knee ticklers

Bad luck. Sounds like you must have met that eejit and his cousin, the clart.

Oh now that's an interesting thought.

Wonder what would happen if Pep and I swapped accounts for a few days... would anyone notice?

Lol, I live in Ireland. You have never seen a man blush until you have seen an Irishman blush ;)

Well think about it. Pep would have a few days being a dignified, kind, well respected land baron with a head full of common sense, and you'd have a few days being.....well, being Pep. You could let your hair down, go off on everyone and then return to your own body, once again that respected Des, while Pep goes back to deal with the havoc you've left in your wake.........might be fun!

That's true. I'm blushing now at the very thought of it.
